Would you say that Amir is of arabian nationality?

Looking at Amir's full name, Amir Ranjit Raj Singh, I'm pretty sure he's of Indian descent.

Indian with blue eyes and platinum-blond hair. Very unlikely, but that is what he is.

I'd put my money on Indian, but I definitely would not put it anywhere near Arab.

Just from name I'm saying Indian.

But his name was Schmidt in the JP version.

From name alone...Indian. As for appearance, it could be of any Middle Eastern descent. Hard to say.

Amir is more of an Arab name actually, but it's use is widespread in Muslim communities.
