Help whith the shrine

I'm getting a little desperate here because I can't get into the cave! I'm in spring of year 2 and every day I try to activate the event but it just wont work! And it kinda sucks because I want to marry Emiko... Has anyone faced the same problem?

Make sure you're entering at the right time from the right place. And that you haven't already unlocked it. A lot of people get that. Just a reminder as to the conditions:
The path to Emiko's water shrine can not be unlocked until you've reached your second year in the game. Leave your farm area on a non-rainy day between 9:00 pm and 2:00 am
It might be random too, but I've never heard of that. Just keep trying.

No it ain't that. I always leave my farm at that time because of the windmills. And if I try to enter the cave it says "something seems blah blah blah but you can't enter yet". So that means there's something wrong with my game? I bought it used, so I really hope it's no that, since it doesn't have a warrantee...
