Cat on the roof and an anorexic horse

So I just bought a cat two days ago, and it's cute and all, but it's on the roof. Asleep. Zzz's and all. Also, whenever I put a horse treat down by my horse he does the "!" and then walks around the treat like he can't see it, then a "?" appears over his head. He won't eat!!! Is this normal animal behavior?

The cat on the roof thing is normal. I normally just play and train my cats at night when they decide to come in.

The horse not seeing the treat, though... If it acts like it can't see it, pick it up and try again to throw it where it can see and get to it. I try to aim my carrot treats a little in front of my horse. Usually works just fine for me.

About the horse: does it like you? Because ever since my horse started getting a ! when it sees me, it's busy following me around and often ignores the carrot-thingys for some time.
