Just like on Twitter in the Natsume forum they also said "We'll have RFToD news later this week" after someone pointed out the date change.
I don't get it. If the news is that the date was pushed back why can't they just say it now? People obviously notice something. That's just annoying to wait until a few days before the release date just to tell us it changed. If it wasn't true they would probably assure people the release date is the same to calm them down and not be all subtle about it.
I just wish I had a Facebook account. Then if they do announce less then a week before the release date that it was pushed back two weeks (or maybe even more) I could at least call them big jerks for not telling us sooner. The whole reason I ordered the 3DS version of ToTT was because I thought I'd be able to play RFToD. Now they're coming out at like the same time................. What if the news is RFToD got pushed back and is coming out the same day as the 3DS version of ToTT D:? No they wouldn't do that, right

I don't mind delays as long as they don't wait until the last minute to announce it.
That just seems so rude to wait this long before saying something. I mean it's not like they just came up with it now. The dates on sites started changing days ago and they still haven't officially announced if there really is a push back or not.
Anyways maybe there won't be a push back or maybe it will just be a few days. I certainly hope it's not two extra weeks of waiting.

If there is a delay, it will annoy me because I specifically didn't get HM:ToTT (yet) because RF:ToD was coming out so soon afterwards -.- Ugh. Now I don't know if I should go get the HM game tomorrow or wait and see what happens with RF. If it doesn't come out till mid-October-ish or later, then I'm not getting it till December. Too many games are coming out in such a short span of time that I don't have time for all of them now.
Like I said, it's likely a business move on Natsume's part to push back the date, but I don't think ToTT 3DS is the full reason why they're pushing it back.
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
Regarding RPGs:
This month has Atelier Totori, Solatorobo, and X-Men Destiny (3 RPG games dated for 9/27.)
Next month will have Dark Souls (10/4) and Harvest Moon: ToTT 3DS (10/25), leaving a space for potentially RF:ToD (10/11), two weeks before HM: ToTT 3DS.
While Dark Souls is an RPG, it's not the cute kind. Natsume will have the RPG advantage on the other side of the genre spectrum for October instead of having to compete with NISA/Gust's Atelier Totori on the same day.
However!
If you still want to hold on the hope of RF:ToD coming next week, I won't stop you. I've been looking at the dates again. Hear this:
Gamestop changes its date to 10/11/11, the same as Newegg.
Walmart and Amazon's dates remain the same.
Rpgamer has now placed RF:ToD back onto the upcoming games list for 9/27/11.
Either someone in Rpgamer is slow or...yeah, I'll just leave it at that.

Sooo there was another update on the Natsume forum. One of the members (Malgamus) got an email reply from Natsume about the ToD release date. This is the response:
How depressing. I still hope it's not true D':.Hello,
It'll be sometime early October. The exact release date hasn't been set as of today.
Thank you,
