gems?
You will want to keep a Diamond, three Mithril, three Adamantite, a Moonstone, and an Amethyst for tool upgrades. One Stone Tablet and one Mythic Ore will be used for the Oracle's horse carts. Everything else can be shipped.
I have seen Rahi ask for a Ruby for a request before, but that is optional if you want to complete it.

You'll also want to save 7 ore stones for upgrades, so don't smash every ore stone that you find!
Thanks for the advise, Cherubae, that makes it a lot easier!

Yes, you can, but until you do the only way to mine is by finding ore stones in the crevice by the waterfall and smashing them with your hammer to get whatever is inside.ducky pants wrote:Can you mine in the tunnel once its opened back up?

Nah, you can find ore stones in a bunch of places, they're just fairly rare in all of them.
Here's what I can think of off the top of my head:
1) search spot by the waterfall
2) jumping in deep water
3) extremely rare, but sometimes you'll just find them laying on the ground in the forage spots on the mountain.
4) after you've gotten a tunnel expansion or two you might find them laying on the ground in the tunnel, too. (tunnel does not have to be complete)
5) I think you might occasionally find one when you throw a snowball you find in winter too.

Also, I found two wonderfuls in the wall tree stump bluebell mid mountain one after another (red and orange I believe) during a typhoon, pretty lucky! :D
