^That's odd... It seems like Konohana is competing rather vigorously in my file... Have you had Nori as a teammate yet?

Ya, she's my savior.

From my past experiences with the Konohana team;
Only Yun and Nori got hearts.
Ying and Kana got failed dishes.
Others: Music notes and ellipses.

Maybe the town where you are living in affects the festival.

Just throwing an idea out. What about cooking rank? Does it affect the festival? Like maybe you get higher rank easier to win?

I doubt cooking rank matters. Have won and lost randomly.
For me, its down to making the best dish possible and pray my team don't mess up.

I feel tired of the cooking festivals. Winning and losing is just random. You can make the best dish and you will lose, because just like that... Pierre gives some random comments about the dishies too. For example, he says that your dish sucks and later you win. Or your dish is awesome and you lose.

Wow, that's pretty ironic... Everyone except for you can enter a failed dish... I just tried to enter a failed dish for my dessert festival and Rutger didn't recognize that I had an entry... Otherwise, I think it's impossible for your village to win the festival if you're just watching... I had Ash and Cheryl, which I wasn't expecting to do well, but also Howard, and he only got a music note... The other team had Nori and Yun, who both had heart dishes, and Kana, who had ellipses... I won tomato seeds...

Right on that subject, I just had Konohana (my village) win the main dish cooking festival in winter while I spectated. Bluebell had two ellipses and one  , while Konohana had two :lala: and one ellipse. And here I was actually hoping we'd lose so I wouldn't be eligible for the next tunnel upgrade...I want farm upgrades =(

^Oh, so they CAN win... What did you win and how many hearts filled up?

I didn't notice how many hearts filled up, i think it was 0.5 at most but i'm not certain (was typing the prior post while the Goddess was talking about the friendlyness and showed hearts). I got Bok Choy seeds as a prize (i'm in year1)

^Ah okay, so whether your village wins or loses, when spectating, you'll always get some sort of seeds... But yeah, thanks for your observations... I also would have assumed you gain half a heart for your village winning with you just spectating... That or 1/4 of a heart since you only seem to get 1/8 when you lose...

On my 3rd year now, all I get for winning are diamonds which sell for 8k a piece after winning all 3 cart design.
Not bad considering the cost of material was so low to start and I get friendship point with everyone for attending.

I don't think Cam and Raspberry bad cook like you guy have claim. when i got Cam and Raspberry on my team on time we did win. Like Fretka said that winning or losing are just random. when I enter 5 star rank and my team have 2 music note and 1  but we still lose. when Konohana team have 2 music note and ....

Cam's a wild card... Apparently, he can enter a dish of any level... Anything from a failed dish to one that gets hearts from Pierre... Georgia can be somewhat of a wild card too, although I haven't heard of her ever entering a heart dish... She's entered a failed dish for me, and on other times, ellipses dishes and even a music note dish... I think anyone can pretty much enter a heart dish and same for a failed dish... I've had Cheryl enter a music note dish and I think Ying has entered a music note dish as well... Kana has also entered anything from a failed dish to a music note dish... The only person I know that consistently gets heart dishes is Nori... (I've had Howard NOT enter a heart dish...)

I've had Georgia enter a heart recipe for my team before. Granted, she is married to me and has max friendship, but it is possible. I read on the fogu boards that the higher your friendships are with your townspeople, the better they GENERALLY do in the cooking festival. That isn't to say they can't do bad with high friendship, but you will get better results most of the time.
