New
Hi everyone new to the forms, but not new to Harvest Moon. I have played Harvest Moon ever since Harvest Moon 64 so I kind of grew up playing all different type of Harvest Moon games. I was wondering what was your first Harvest Moon game and what made you keep going go to back to different Harvest Moon games.

My first game was More Friends of Mineral Town on GBA.
What made me keep coming back was that I just liked how relax it was, how cute it was.
Also my sister and I both enjoy the game haha. The vibe of the games is also great.
I'm currently playing Sunshine islands and she's playing The Tale of Two Towns.
We bond over it haha
that's why i keep coming back.

First was Harvest Moon 64. Sister had been the one to rent it but I hogged it. Played for years and years ingame and can't count the amount of times I made a new file for it. Heck I even married Ann twice for no particular reason (or three times, I forget), you'd think I'd get bored of it the second time around. I loved seeing her in the barn on rainy days though, it was so alive. Married every girl except Maria... sorry Maria! D: I didn't like being married to Karen though although I liked her dancing.
GBC3 is the first one I played. I think my brother had this game, but since it had two save files, I got a file on it as well. I loved that you could choose to be a girl in it and that you and your partner both work on the farm. It was a ton of fun.
But I do remember my dad playing the SNES version on his computer even before that. At the time I thought it was a comp game, and it wasn't until much later that I saw screenshots of the SNES and recognized it and realized he was playing it illegally. XD
I kept getting into it because my dad would buy more of the games (AWL and StH) and play them, and I'd play them as well. From there I started buying my own. MFoMT was the first I bought of my own choosing.

Welcome to Ushi! Have fun and the oldbies bite. Watch out.
My first Harvest Moon was 64, I played it a LOT too. I play a looot of video games so the slow paced farming game was something new and fresh to me and it was a lot of fun making lots of money growing crops and I got to take care of cute animals. Then I noticed BTN, than AWL, and STH, and so on. I stopped playing it for a few years after a while, but picked it up again when TOT came out and it's been a pretty consistent thing since. I still like the making money and building up of the farm aspect more than anything.

my first HM was SNES. from there, i went to GB1, BTN, 64, and FoMT. i own StH, but haven't played it yet. :<
as to why i keep coming back to the series? i don't, if you mean why i keep playing new games. i keep playing the older games because they are fun and relaxing.

Welcome to the best HM forum on the net!
You're sure to have an awesome time here.
My first HM was AWL, which I sort of consider a mistake, because it left me very unprepared for other HMs (like FoMT, my second), where there was TONS more work involved. I mean, I still love AWL, but maybe I should have started with an HM more similar to the rest.
As for why I keep coming back...well, Ushi always keeps me interested, but I also like to see what new ideas are implemented into new HM games. Because I can see a lot of room for improvement. I'm also hoping that they'll eventually realize how much better the old games were, and bring back old features that fans loved.
