Dishes you entered, prizes you won

So which dishes you entered on the cooking festivals, and which prizes you won?
Here are mine:

Summer Salad - Asazuke, bought from Restaurant. 0.5 Star, got dots from Pierre. Won Great Butter.
Summer Soup - Radish Soup, bought from Restaurant. 0.5 Star, got dots from Pierre. Lost the contest.
Summer Main Dish - Grilled Fish. 5 Stars, got heart from Pierre. Won Adamantite.
Summer Dessert - Honey Pudding. 4 stars, got heart from Pierre. Lost the contest.

Fall Salad - Potato salad, bought from Restaurant. 0.5 Star, got dots from Pierre. Lost the contest.
Fall Soup - Onion Soup. 3.5 Stars, got music note from Pierre. Won Mithril.

I'll keep making grilled fish and honey pudding for the next contests, since I got a heart from them.

I think I'm going to have to buy a salad for the first summer cooking contest. Didn't grow any potatoes in spring or I could have made a potato salad... ahh gotta love poor planning. Oh well.

I don't remember wich one, but I remember that Konohana only won 1 Summer cooking contest. I remember the dishes I made, so I am going to write them down, and will start to make note from now on.

I finally managed to finish my first year, so I will post a new comment on this thread for the second year, so this post won't get too large.

i think the difference in prizes is by season and if you got a "perfect" (heart and/or 5 stars) score or just a regular winning score.

I've won all of the spring cooking contests except soup, where i just decided to sit and watch since i kept getting range scr3wed and didn't want to lose the items. the prize for losing and just watching were the same thing - cucumber seeds. the prize for winning was wine, but i never won with a 5 star/heart score.

I've entered a four star radish soup in my first summer for the soup thing and won! I've found having the little girl on my team tends to hurt more than help (sorry kiddo...). I won an adamantite!

I watched the summer salad one and still got a tomato seeds.

I enter stuff from the store for soup and Salad. So I usly don't win(bluebell is not alwas the best cool team). So I get seeds. Well Ive got Great Butter. That werid Blue Stone. The best Prize I won Was For Main Dish, I bought Rice and Oil for the werid hat people one named Raul, and Went home and made rice, the milked my cow(5 star milk), and Get my Egg(5 star egg.). And use the frying pan and make omelt rice(5 star) I make it for all main dish challenge, well I got the gold peirtie status, and My Prize was a Fancy Cart! Yup I won a Fancy Cart it's really nice and good for keeping stuff freah and holding more. I just had to buy a new horse. Desert I make Pudding sometime win sometime lose. I don't enter much anymore scene I have a husband, and 2 cow, an Alpaca, a Sheep, and 2 Chiken. Also Have two dogs, a Cat, and my Owl. And I grow crops. So I don't really go anymore the Tunnel compelted so why go.

You're on the second year, right? Because I read on the guide that you get the cart wherever you win a contest on your second year.

I think this is what I've made so far since I started making my own dishes with no help from the mayor:

Summer
Salad: Potato Salad
Soup: Radish Soup
Main: Omelette
Dessert: Pudding

Fall
Salad: Herb Salad


I'll probably keep my main dish and dessert the same for a while, since I have a cow and chicken that are both producing very high quality items right now, and oil is cheap. Sadly, I'll probably have to buy a soup this Fall, because like a ninny I forgot and sold my last radish already.

I been really lucky and haven't lost a contest yet. Got Red Wine for the first three Spring contests and Mithril for every other one. I also got the bronze Pierre statue.

Out of curiosity, can you win the others/another statue after you win one, or am I stuck with just the bronze forever now?

Sled ( looks like u can win fancy/postman carriage without needing to move to bluebell after completing the tunnel)

Using

Radish soup with jersey milk addition
Omelet with black egg addition
Pudding with black egg addition

Anyone knows if using high stamina replenishing dish would give you a better chance at winning?
A lot of times just using 5 star dish just isn't enough to give me the edge over the random factor
in the competition.

For the past times I won in the cooking contests, I always got wine. If I didn't win, I got seeds of different varieties.

Is it me or is Ina trying to get me drunk...?

But seriously, is wine a standard prize in the cooking contests? I don't just get wine in the Spring, but also during the summer and fall.

Maybe it has to do with the ammount of hearts? I mean at the mayors friend metter. Because I used to get a lot of wine too.

^I think it has to do with the quality of your dish. I *always* get adamantite or mithril when I enter a dish and win. Following this, I made a small list, feel free if you want to complete it.

According to GFAQ's visitor, you also won Great Butter when you enter a dish.

Well, in my game I actually don't want to win, but I still want to enter, so I usually buy whatever random thing I find in Howard or Yun's shop that's in the right food category and enter that.

Since those dishes are only a half-star, I always get the dot-dot-dot from Pierre for my dish.

Problem is that lately I've been having really bad (good?) luck and I keep winning anyway. Yun and Hiro keep showing up for my team, darnit! ^_^ Even with my "sabotage", my team can beat Bluebell even when their team is Howard, Jessica, and Laney. I couldn't believe it.

But anyway, back to my point. I've won the last four contests (it was the last one in Fall, and the first 3 in Winter so far) in this way. Every single time I got a Mythril from Ina.

I have not gotten Red Wine from a win since Spring. But then I had really good luck losing the cooking contests during Summer and the beginning of Fall, so...

Still, like I said, my entries were all dot-dot-dots, except one time when I caved and entered a 4.5-star sushi and got a heart from Pierre. I still got Mythril even that time. So...the dish or its rating doesn't seem to influence the prize. Probably it's just random, from a really small reward pool so we get a lot of repetition of prizes.

Either that, or it's based on your whole team's combo of scores or something, not just your own, would be my guess.

The Spring and Summer ones where I won were all dot-dot-dots I think. The Fall pudding where I won was a music note, even though it was 5 star.
The Winter ones were all dot-dot-dots except the sushi which was a heart.

I am guessing that the note from Pierra is about the ammount of ingredients you use? Maybe a more detailed dish, even with less stars, would be better than a simple dish with 5 stars? Just a guessing here...
