Area in the mountains I can't get to

So am I dumb and missing something, or what? In the area of the mountains right to the left of where the cooking festival takes place, you go over a bridge or onto an over look, and there's an area down below where you can see a slide leading to it, and a mushroom to get back up. Usually there's a bear chillin' down there, too. But I can't find out how to get to it?

Supposedly, after each tunnel expansion, you can randomly trigger an event on the mountain where a bear will push a boulder out of the way and allow you access to that place (among others where the boulders are blocking stuff). You have to be WALKING when you enter the screen, not riding your horse, and it's random.
I have not triggered any of these boulder-moving events yet, and I've had two tunnel expansions, so I'm due two bear-events. I was quite put-out when I first found this info. Now I'll have to start walking everywhere until I get them... ^_^

This stumped me for a while, but I figured it out:
In that screen, to the left of the area with the slides (along the main road), just next to the small bunch of yellow flowers is a small opening between the trees you can walk through. Just behind those trees is a mushroom that will launch you to the upper area where you can find the zip line and bridges.
