Hey guys,

I actually own the first and second RF but believe it or not, have never played them. I intend to someday. Especially now because I have a night job that is super slow and boring and I basically there it get paid to read or play my DS all night, haha!

Think I should get RF 3 as well? I have nothing to compare to. I'm afraid of it getting rare and hard to find. Then again, it seems none of the HM or RF games have become expensive yet for the DS.

What do you guys think?

I highly recommend Rune Factory 3; the game is really fun and there is a lot to do to keep you busy.

I would definetely get RF3.
But for enjoyement I would get it and play RF1 and 2 first.
You can play them in any order and all are fun but RF3 has more features that would make the others seem lacking if you play them out of order.

I recommend getting any RF game. But you should play the other two first. If you are worried about it becoming hard to find you can buy it and wait to play.

But you are right about the DS games not becoming very rare. They are still pretty easy to find. So you could play the other two first. You might not like RF then you'd have three games you don't want instead of just two.

I agree if you own RF1 and RF2 to just play them. They are similar enough to RF3 that if you don't like them you probibally won't like RF3 so you can save yourself some money. If you like them, well RF3 is even better.

Get RF3. It's short and although updated compared to the others it's a different enough experience that if you go back and play the other games you'll feel annoyed. RF3 has some of the silliest characters ever, it's worth the price just to hang out with the villagers (RAINBOW!)

Sorry I'm late at responding but I just want ahead and got it so I will have it when I'm read to play. I hear it's the best one so far for the DS.

I already know I'll get RF4 for the DS since you can play as a female and marry.

RF4 is for the 3DS. So if you don't already have one hopefully by the time it comes out you will have a 3DS.
