What Did You Name Your Character ?

I named my character Emma.

I'm going with a musical theme so I named my main character: Aria which has to do with an expressive melody.

I'm just boring with naming & named my character my own name.

I have kind of a strange name, but if I was a boy I would have loved to be called Danny, and so I name all of my male characters that. :3 Girl names are so much harder, they get a different one with every new game that comes out.
Does anyone give themes to what they name their animals? I usually name my chickens people I met recently, or my cows after favorite characters in tv shows or games

I named my character by my name. I always have.

I named my character after myself on my Male file (Andy), and Angie for my Female file.

I named my character Madlyn, because my full name (Madeline) wouldn't fit. However, when I get married if they have that "what should I call you" feature I'll tell them to call me Otter because that's what my friends call me. :3c

I named my girl character (who lives in Bluebell) Beatrix ^^
The name Beatrix means traveler or voyager or something like that. So i thought it was really fitting.

....But due to the six letter limit it's spelled 'Betrix'.

But it's pronounced Beatrix in my mind!! D':

I wish they changed the letter-limit to seven. I've had so many names that I would have liked to use cut off due to the six letter limit >:/

I miss Friends of Mineral town and its overabundance of letters for names....

I named my female character Kelly, after myself.

I'm tempted to make a male save and call everything on the farm just my boyfriends name and then teach him how to play it like he wants me to, just so I can shout 'THIS IS SEAN FROM SEAN FARM WITH A DOG CALLED SEAN AND 4 COWS CALLED SEAN'. ;>

I was going to name my female MC my real name but decided it would be weird since it's Japanese currency, and I am mainly living in a Japanese cultured town... So, I went with the usual plan B name, "Yuki" which is short for "Yukiden" thanks to limited letter slots, which is also a short term for "You Kidding". If I was being humorous about naming my male MC (I normally name him "Mark"), I would call him "Yo", and name one of the puppies/dogs "Dawg".
