I wish it could be stickied :( but I'm not sure who to ask for that. For now the next best thing is to keep the link in my signature and post around so people can see it.

Hello, it says that Funa can be caught at night but I have caught it during the day in Fall, both rainy and sunny (same day, morning rain, sunny afternoon). Still caught it in the Konohana River though

Okay thanks. I figured it could be caught during the day, but luck of the draw resulted in me only catching it after 6.

I've only caught the Blotch twice. It's a tough one :) Thanks though. As long as it's helping people out, I'm happy.

There was a typhoon, but I had no luck with Mackerel. Anyway, an addition to Fish Fossil: I caught one at Konohana River at night with the master rod. That means it's not only catchable with the regular rod.

Oh wow, great job you guys. ^_^

I wrote down all my fish over the weekend, only to come back here and I think you got everything I wrote already! ^_^ And here I was all excited 'cause I found the Large Char and Large Icefish and Eel and Sea Bass...

One thing I can add, though - the Letter-In-A-Bottle - you guys list it at the Bluebell hand-fishing spots during typhoons. I also caught/found them on the Konohana side - I caught 3 in one typhoon there. I think it doesn't matter which area of the Konohana hand-fishing spot, but mine were mostly in that lower-left side where you can usually catch crabs.

i have a question about this king fish:
Giant Salamander | Summer | Bluebell Pond | Fishing Rod | Night

i meet all the requirements to get that fish, and it is also sunny weather when i do it, and around 7pm i believe thats when the sky goes dark, and even so i stay there still like 4am, fishing in the bluebelle pond, which is the only fishing dock on bluebelle's side right?
if so i been fishing there, and had no luck with the gaint salamander yet, so is there something else you gotta do, or do you suppose to use the master rod, because i been useing the regular fishing rod

The king fish are also somewhat of a rarity. I caught the giant catfish twice in a row in my summer year1, but have only seen it since then once, and that dock is almost exclusively the only one i fish at.

Someone reported to have used the regular fishing rod to catch it, so that is listed as the minimum requirement. You're more than welcome to use the master rod to increase your chances of catching it, because pretty much anything that is caught with the fishing rod can be caught with the master rod as well.
