Ugh, what's with the, I gotta be a man!11 and propose even if you were the one to propose to me!! business? The hell. It only makes the fact that the boy character doesn't get proposed to even worse.

I really hope not /all/ the boys' scripts for accepting the proposals include a comment like that.

Howard: Oh, how romantic! You two are SO in love! Isn't this fabulous?!

Cam: We were talking about having it about a week from now.

You and Cam: (Heart)

Howard: A week?! Well, you'd better start getting ready then!
You'll be so busy the day of the wedding, Erith!
So make sure you finish all of your work at the farm the day before, ok?

I may have misunderstood it, but the way I read it was that he was sort of being playful with you. Dirk makes jokes and lightly teases you a lot ("You forgot it was my birthday didn't you?? Haha, I'm just kidding."). The way he says your name with a lot of dots just before, and laughs afterwards, makes it sound to me like he wanted to say something sweet but got embarressed and then tried to cover it up by being macho-immature-silly. After marriage he does open up more and you see underneath the 'dude, man, etc' talk and jokes he does seem to be a somewhat shy and sensitive person. ('I use to be so lonely before we married..', 'I'm not tired anymore... I love you, Kat.')

It did still strike me as odd though. He's never made a sexist remark like that before even as a joke, at least in his dialogue from this game. I never played GB though so maybe I'm misreading his personality. It is worth noting too that he talks about Kana and him chatting and hanging out in his dates sometimes; maybe since Kana is a reverse-proposal Dirk's worried Kana would rip on him if he found out a girl proposed to him? I don't know bro-ettiquette.

awwww. Ok, now I'm decided. I'm marrying Cam in my first file. Even if it's for no other reason other than seeing howard talk about clothes XD lol Cant wait

yes, I was pleasantly suprised that Howard and Laney were also involved in the proposal event. It's usually a super private thing between you and your fiancee, but this time it really felt more like a family event and I really enjoyed that

Maybe, but even if it's done in a playful way, it's just sexist. It's still, well, no way a /girl/ can propose to a /guy/!!1, and it really annoys me. But I see not everyone's like that, which greatly pleases me. Even more of a reason to choose the others over them.

Okay since no one in ushi did Ash's reverse Proposal yet and I'm at Yellow Flower, I guess... I'll do it, I'll be pulling an all night-er to get the chance to witness the marriage of Ashlyn and Ash <3 If anyone have a complaint talk now or you won't see me on until I get the transcript done.

I agree completely.

That's why I love the Harvest King's proposal scene in AP. He doesn't care about petty things like gender roles, he just lets you be the one to propose. <3

It would have been really nice if some of the bachelorettes had reverse proposals. I might be more inclined to marry them. Reina is still cute though.
