MOST people find it more of a con than a pro, though I can understand that for some it's the other way around. My friend prefers the slow place because that's just how she prefers to play.

I think the slow time is a good thing. there's plenty of time each day to get everything done, and once you have done all you want to, there's no stopping you from going to bed early.

Not necessarily true. Besides the gifts (which I believe do count as "heart events") there's also the date event and the confession event. If anything, I'd consider those 2 gift events, the date, and the confession event all heart events, which is better than ToT, I think at least. (two gift events, one request event, and one confession)
ToT has a date event, too, so those are the same.
Really? I don't remember a dating event, but then again I haven't played ToT in like 2 years.

Bringin' old threads back to life. orz
Pros:
- Slow time.
You get more things done and don't have to worry about being late to anything.
- Lots of different pets.
I simply adore them, so the more the merrier.
- Calmer music during night.
Just because it's a nice little detail.
- Children.
Having two that resemble your spouse and grow up? After playing many HM games, this is the only one with a child system that actually pleases me. (Haha, or then I'm just too picky~)
- A huge amount of different cooking recipes.
I've always loved cooking in HM, so lots of recipes is definitely good.
- The Snowman.
I effin' love this guy, and always will.
- Really detailed characters.
As an artist, I really appreciate all the little effort put in the characters. (Those eyelids? Love 'em.) I've also noticed that the movements have gradually become smoother since the last games.
- The prizes at the contests.
I like how the first place really gets better prizes than the 2nd and 3rd, and that depending on the contest, some of the prizes turn out actually useful.
Cons:
- The missing child glitch.
I have yet been a "victim", but I really don't want to experience it. ;__; I love those pictures on the screen too much.
- The wedding.
It takes a whole day, seriously? At least give me like, an hour in the morning to feed my animals. :I
- Dem characters.
I can never choose who to marry! Two of my absolute favorite bachelors are Chase and Gill, so that's already two save slots. And then there's the Witch and Harvest Goddess, which takes up another two... And the Wizard is cute too, but so is Maya and... This is just unfair, I don't want to play the game over and over again just to marry everyone! ;___;
After all of the games I've played (FoMT, MFoMT, DS, DSCute, MM, ToTT, SI, StHL and RF...), I can easily say that Animal Parade is the best.
Considering that after my adorable younger brother succesfully lost my AP game and later broke it by accident, I'm getting a new copy this week. So techically yes, I would pay twice the price. (Now, if it only weren't for that glitch...)
-Sorry for the insanely long first post. OTLlll

Most? You should introduce these "most" to me considering a lot of people last I checked were happy the game had slow time. Unless the "most" was you trying to spice up your opinion. I find it to be a blessing honestly, there is wayyyyy too much you can do in this game and such little time if the clock moved any faster.

seriously, the slow time is win for me. i wasn't a fan of the speedy time limit in back to nature (seriously, why have a field that huge, if you can't harvest it all in a day!?) and island of happiness was faster than that. this game however gives me enough time to do alot of things in a day. although i will admit, there are some times that the clock is TOO generous, but sometimes a short break from playing is also good.

Almost everyone I know in real life hates the slow time, aside from that one friend I mentioned, and I've seen several people on Ushi no Tane and other message boards criticize the game for taking too long as well. On the other hand, I've only seen a handful of people say that they prefer the slow time. So, according to my own experiences, most people don't like the way time passes in AP. Did you expect me to do intense research on the subject with polls and statistics and everything? Generally when someone says something like that, it's true according to his or her own observations, not 100% factual. I shouldn't need to be pointing out something that obvious to you.

That doesn't sound like MOST that sounds like half and half to be accurate. And did I ever mention polls? No I did not so I think you should kindly not put words into my mouth

. You were acting as if MOST thought the time being slow was a bad thing, I simply countered you and told you "Not everybody actually thinks that and a great number of people enjoy the time slow" and I was oh so curious where you were getting the idea that MOST thought that way. Since I've been on here since the game was released I kindly know that a lot of people WHO I"VE HAD DISCUSSIONS WITH actually liked the slow timing a whole lot is all, I wasn't trying to attack you or offend you.
Next time how about you not exaggerate your words and actually be more clear? Not trying to be rude of course but you trying to act smart with others with your last sentence only makes you look like a jerk than a reasonable person in a discussion.

"BECAUSE IT WAS OBVIOUSZ". Discussion with you over

, no need for a fighting debate of blood and rage when we are both simply discussing our opinions.
On topic: I think one of the major cons with AP was probably the child vanishing glitch. Luckily I never got it but having your child end up in the glitch area of the game must not be fun..
Then again ToT was full of it's glitches as well so meh.

I don't mind slow time. Just 3 minutes for an hour that's usually like a minute is too much for me. I follow almost exact routines from way back in the DS versions - farm chores, wooing, shopping, mining (sometimes), going to bed. 3 minutes per hour means my MC now goes to bed at like 2PM. -.-

Um, if you're looking for my opinion on the time...I'm OK with that.
It just means that I have time to deal with a lot of things in the morning, so I can do whatever in the afternoon. Well, in the game.

I was just replaying it about a month ago; around 5 hearts you go on a date with the guys at the Sundae Inn; I think the girls meet you on the beach.

I shouldn't have quoted you and argued against the slow time. D:
Ah well. It's pretty fun reading them all. :D

I've seen a lot of people who like the game say: "It's nice that the game has slower time but maybe it's -too- slow." It's a common complaint. From what I've seen, people appreciate the game for what it is but would prefer it if the game was a tad bit faster. But not by too much.
