becasue it hates you? (joking, its just sods law. anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, just when its worst time for it to do it lol)
i have a few questions, general and specific about minecraft though.
i finaly gave in and decided to try it, but i grabbed the offline PCgamer demo (becasue i wasnt sure i wanted to regester yet. therefor a 90min sorta restartable demo was good for me. that and the cows with the logo on them...the zombie that followed me about, the duck that came into my house XD)
so, it looks like im kinda hooked allready
but i want to know a few things. which version d you all play on at the oomcraft server? is it the paid or the free or what?
what is the feeling of the oomcraft server owner about subteranian homes (ie, those that get build into the rock and dirt of the world) becaue i saw some of the rules being not to despoil the world. i personaly feel safer in games like this inside stone and rock. first thing i did was find a nice spot and dig into the wall (after finging myself being zombie-chow as the sun went down, i found myself alone in the dark and bricking it becasue something was going 'huuuurhuh' then i found i was dead lol) make myself a nice little rock house underground.
then the duck wandered in while i was making the outer wall of cobblestones and i thought, well maybe its scared of the zombie too. so i made doors and we spent the night in the house
what are the diferences between the free play and the paid them versions?
(i wont ask if its worth it, its more for me, is it worth asking for it from dad or the BF for xmas..maybe as a valentines gift?
)
Edit: this may be of interest to you guys, but the demo lets you use (some at least) the texture packs. it might be a good way to test if you like the texture packs when servers are down
im trying a kakariko village pack atm lol

we use the paid, if you're going to buy it hurry up, the price will go up when it's out of beta on the 11th.
I live in a mountain :D So subterranian houses are fine, it's just don't go diggy digging holes everywhere and making the place look ugly.
free version is the old minecraft, it's a lot different, basically the old minecraft is Creative mode, There's no mobs, (zombies etc) unlimited blocks, and less variety in the world.
the paid has a large variety of ores, mobs, etc and a day night cycle.
It's a hell of a lot more fun
