You really don't know a lot about computers do you? xD Well when you drag a file from one window to another it transfers it(Done by holding down the mouse button when you single-click an item; this is also how you move items around your desktop or move tabs, etc). However in this case it'll be better to copy it. There are two ways to do this. You can right click it and click copy or you can use the keyboard shortcut cntrl+c.

Here are some more keyboard shortcuts as they are handy:
Cntrl+v = Paste
Cntrl+x = Cut
Cntrl+d = Favorite(on webpages) or Deselect on art programs

not really xD I've picked up a few things from my partner, however I knew all that, but I dunno how to get to the app data .__.; I've clicked the windows button and types run but what to do from there is beyond me

if your on windows 7 you click on the 'start' menu and look for the 'search' option. then you type this in

%appdata%

that should find you the folder .minecraft

in windows vista its probably the same as they act the same way.
in XP its in

C:\Documents and Settings\you user name here\Application Data\.minecraft

unless you changed it about. if you havent got a clue HOW to change it, then its probably exactly there, becasue most people dont change stuff if they dontknow how to

when yoiu say open the 1.1 do you mean open the .jar or open the file containing the .jar?
to open a java file (.jar) you need a program like WinZip, WinRAR or 7zip.
then you have to right click it and choose 'open with' and then pick whichever of the programs you got to open packaged and compressed files.

but you only need to open the actual .jar when you are changing it to use mods and stuff.
i think what they mean is that with a clean unmodified .jar you can take the one thats in the folder allready (thats 1.2.3) and move that to a safe place, then put the one that 1.1 in the folder instead and that might work.

yeah I meant open minecraft with the 1.1 version, I did move the 1.1 .jar file to the .minecraft folder, then I logged into minecraft however the loading bar which said "updating minecraft" got stuck when it was almost full...and didn't budge .__.;

edit: oh! nevermind it worked!! hurray! thank you guys so much! :D

I've been busy a lot lately, plus I haven't really been in a Minecraft mood. I do miss playing with you all, though! I might be back on a bit pretty soon; whenever I get tired of NBA 2K.

currently addicted to planting the frell outa Bonta's fields, forresting Bonta's forrest and mining the metlas (on Wakfu lol)

but on the other hand im also waiting for Pams Hearthcrafts to be made bukkit friendly, so i can show you guys them and see if we can have them in the oomcraft. becasue guys....her latest cloth version of hearthcraft has woolen stairs.... as well as carpets and so forth.
so coupled with the stone and wood versions we could have a frikin a-mazing time building. becasue her pavers (be they wood, stone, carpet or the aditional glass and metal she hopes to add soon) work just like the pressure plates, but no clicking and sooo many types..*drools*

Playing other games. I currently have been addicted to my 3DS and Kid Icarus, OMG game is so good. I have been trying to Plat Dynasty Warriors 7XL for my PS3 and I have been playing SD GUndam Capsule Fighter on my PC.

I used to log on but 9 timed out 10 I was the only person on and that get boring real quick.
