Favorite festival?
you can't walk on the soup, and the dog should be where the pot used to be when you return to the square. you can also put chickens in the pot, but i wouldn't risk a chicken for that.
my favourite flower festival was the one in 64. i like the 64 and SNES style festivals where it is like a street fair with vendors and such as well as whatever the main event is. it makes it seem more lively and bustling. (i like the 64 horse race and the 64 fireworks festival [in the square] for this reason, too, though the 64 fireworks festival is more romantic than the BTN one in general! i like being able to go to specific locations and have some alone time with a girl, and then light off sparklers after~)

Oh okay, I'm just remembering wrong then. Unless you can in a different game, IDK.Nina Star 99 wrote:you can't walk on the soup, and the dog should be where the pot used to be when you return to the square. you can also put chickens in the pot, but i wouldn't risk a chicken for that.

I do have to agree about the vendor thing. Even if after you bought the items, Rick was always there with nothing, and the traveling salesman just stood in the corner looking really creepy. xD
And I looooved that aspect about the 64 fireworks festival! I always thought meeting up with Elli was the most romantic. Meeting up at her back door while it was all dark and quiet...so cute!
I loved the air balloon festival too, but only when I was king!! :p

I remember that I was so sad because I couldn't marry the red-haired girl that appears in the horse festival, haha.Nina Star 99 wrote:you can't walk on the soup, and the dog should be where the pot used to be when you return to the square. you can also put chickens in the pot, but i wouldn't risk a chicken for that.

the egg festival was fun~
and lillia was there selling pink cat mint seeds, and all the people who came from other villages~ it was a great atmosphere. i miss that kind of thing. (another reason why i like the 64 horse race is the glitch... but it doesn't really matter anymore in FoMT where you can bet on yourself and get more medals than you could possibly ever use... not that i've done that!
)
actually, i liked that about the cow festival, too. not only could you drink the milk from the cows, but they actually mentioned that the other cows were from other villages. i imagine that flowerbud is one of the larger villages in the area, so they tend to host some of the bigger festivals in the area, as well, and that's why you get people visiting. some of them are probably tourists from the city, too.
if you have a hard time getting the coin in 64, try resetting from two days before. the winner is determined the day before, so if you reset from two days before, the winner wil be different. it takes a while, but it's worth it!

The only games I've played that you mentioned are M/FoMT, and sadly I don't remember too much of their festivals :CHappyCow wrote:i really like the tea festival in GB, and all of the FoMT/MFoMT ones. They have the Harvest Goddess festival in HM64 but it's different, you actually get to dance with the girl of your choosing, unless the girl you want to dance with got voted to be the goddess then she dances with the one who was voted for the harvest king at the one festival. If she's your wife you can dance with her though. Also I do believe HM64's version is later in the month and a couple days before is when you cast your vote for which girl you want to be the Harvest Goddess.gentlegirlfarmer1228 wrote:Is the Harvest Goddess festival on 8th of spring only available on BTN? I never heard anyone mention it but me.
There's vendors and each girl will give you a flower it's pretty awesome.
But yeah for some reason FoMT/MFoMT did not have the Harvest Goddess Festival, which totally sucks. BTN/FG had it though.
BTN/FG is the only one (that i know of -- i don't know about newer games) that had the goddess festival.
64 had a flower festival, as did SNES, which was towards the end of the month (23rd) instead of the beginning, and you asked a girl to dance instead of watching a dance and asking her to go with you.
if i remember, only the girl who was goddess wore the costume, too, where in BTN, they all wore it.
i loved the goddess festival in BTN. ;o; i always tried really hard to get a girl to like me enough that i could go with her the first year, haha. i usually succeeded, too.
