I'm sure this topic has been made before, but let's bring it back.

What's your favorite festival?

I personally love the tomato throwing contest in BtN. It was fun and really contributed to the game, I think. Same with the egg hunt in HM64.

Preferably state something original, not the typical flower/fireworks/swimming festival/horse race. But if those really are your absolute favorites, don't hold back!

The animal festival in ToT is my favourite, only for the Leap Frog mini game, it's so much fun beating the villagers at it.

I do love the Firework Festival, and the Starry Night Festivals in most games, expecially the ones were the sky can actually be seen. The Firefly Festival is pretty too. I'm a real sucker for the romantic festivals in games like MM or ToT, because they are not only super cute, but usually have the veiw of a beautiful starry sky or fireworks or something.

I like the horse festivals. When you can bet and race or jump

Did you ever play BtN? Not festival-related, but at night in winter if you go up to the mountain, the starry sky is SO pretty. I always really loved that.
Man I really miss playing that game. I almost want to drop ToTT and go play it again. xD

No, I've never played the older ones. The first game I got was FOMT. And, it's been hit and miss which games I can get, because most of them don't come out in the UK. The most recent game I've got is ToT, because someone ordered it of the internet for me.

I like that I can angle the camera to look at the sky whenever I want in ToT, granted that it mainly aims the camera towards the tree...

Oh, and I forgot about the new years festival, in ToT, making a new year's revolution with Julius (my hubby on my current file), is so cute!

Oh, and the Harvest Festival in FOMT/MFOMT/HMDS was so much fun, when poisoning everyone with toadstools.... XD

^ the harvest festival in BTN was even better, because not only could you put your dog in the pot, but you could fish up trash and fishbones from it.



i really liked the firefly festival in 64. *___________* so pretty!!

the egg hunts in SNES and 64 were a lot of fun, too, as was the tomato throwing in BTN.
and you can't forget the new years drink-everyone-under-the-table festival in 64!! that was great.

Love all the festivals listed already but a personal favorite is uh...« Puppy Doodoo » I can't remember the name. I think it's like fall second or third and in it's only in BTN I believe. You go to church at night and Karen sings and if you say yes you play with the little group too as the one on ocarina. I think Elli and Ann either played Clarinet or Flute and Mary plays piano/organ.

Mhm... in almost every game I adore the firework festival. It's just so pretty with all the lights~
I found the Stargazing festival in ToTT adorable too. I don't know, but the dialogue was somewhat cute.

I can't believe I forgot about that one! I loved that one! It was the only one I'd go out of my way to attend, when I was going through that "not going to festivals, I'm trying to earn that cottage, dammit!" phases. (Never did earn that damn cottage... D: )

I prefer BTN's version because Karen sings. FoMT version

It's quite hard to pick only one favorite that goes above everything else... But I do like Horse Race (GrB) and any kind of Cooking Festivals. Also, one thing I always look very much forward is the Crop Festival in AP. I love the theme and I'm always very excited about the contests. :D

I also liked the festival in HM64 when a few days prior you could go to the town square and vote for your favorite girl or something? And then there was dancing and « Puppy Doodoo »...? 8D'

The best part about tomato throwing was that you could choose your team, I was literally never able to decide who to join.

I love the Goddess Festival in BTN. It's always been my favorite. I also like the Harvest Festival, Beach festival and the ever popular Starry night festival.

Can't think of a favorite off the top of my head. XD The animal festivals annoyed me sometimes because often you couldn't even win till the second year. x-x I also was never very good with cooking stuff (hated collecting the ingredients). But generally I still like the festivals. For some reason the beach day or whatever was on the first of summer was usually pretty fun, I think in MFoMT you could actually throw the ball for your dog. I think it was the Frisbee, actually.

Oh, the swimming one in MM was pretty fun.

HAHAHA omg I did not know this!! Did you get your dog back? Or did her just walk around on the top. Because if I remember right, you could walk on the soup, but I'm not totally sure.

I never even though of fishing in the pot, but that's REALLY disgusting. xD KAREN!!! hahahaha.

girl farmer - my favorite flower festival is the one in BTN, too. I LOOOOVE the art off all the girls in their costumes! Miss being able to dance with 'em, though.

Does anyone know how you won the crop festival in HM64? I won a few times, but not many. Is it just random?

Also, HATED the harvest festival where you ate the cake to find out who was next king...I almost never got the coin!! :C
