Awesome news!!! :D I LOVED getting letters in FoMT/MFoMT. I'm glad we have gotten the mailbox back. I hope Natsume will not remove it.
I love the mailbox!

I don't think they will remove it. As Cher said, both letters and newspapers are delivered to the mailbox. And the newspaper is used to give the MC the weather forecast. So if they were to remove it they would have to develop an entirely new process to deliver the MC the weather prediction from the beginning of the game.

Speaking of which who delivers the mail and newspaper before Tina arrives?
Do they just appear in your mailbox mysteriously, with no clue as to who delivered them?

So the guy is Hart and the girl is Rio.
I guess that rules them out as the new designs for Pete and Claire.
Unless Natsume renames them that come localization.

Yes, you wake up the second day to the noise of Dunhill installing the post box.
Osuchin wrote:Does the game save to the cartrudge or the 3DS's SD card?
If it's the SD card, one could use multiple SD cards to increase their save files.
It's to the cartridge. I removed my SD card and I could still load my saved game.

The one complaint I have so far is how long the beginning tutorial is. I sware it took me an hour to go through Dunhill's little speaches, walk-over-here's, and various other things.

Insects don't run away from you like they did in Grand Bazaar and Tale of Two Towns. You can run right by a tree with a bug on it, turn around, and go back to catch it. All of the wild animals in the mountain area are afraid of you, so there's no attacks.

You need to know the cooking recipe before you can craft the dish, but you just have to buy them from the general store. I haven't found anywhere yet where I can discover recipes. Cooking herbs into Herb Soup is really good money at the beginning of the game.

Too bad, because I liked to cook without knowing recipe.

I'm assuming that you have the cooking supplies at the beginning of the game then?
If so that's really nice.

I also like that the mailing system is back :heart:

While Google translating the wiki trying to look for new information, I came across "ニール逆告白イベント発生。ハートMAXの状態で指輪を所持し、ニール宅に入る" in the comment section which translates roughly into: "Neil reverse confession event occurs. Possession of a ring in a state of heart MAX, Neil enters the home"

Not sure if anything was known about reverse proposals, so I thought I'd post it. Sorry if this isn't new news!

@Mailbox being possibly removed in English: I don't think it will. Sengoku is supposed to be the one writing the newspaper, right? If they removed it (thereby removing the newspaper), he would...what? Be a bum? XD He'd essentially lose his job. Plus Tina's job is delivering mail, so...yeah. I think it'd be really dumb if they removed the mail. But then, I wouldn't put it past Natsume to do it, though. :T I certainly hope they won't, though.

I'm loving all the new info coming out about the game. It's sounding better and better the more I read! Super sad I have to wait for the English release, but for now, I'll just tide myself over with reading stuff here. ^^;

I was looking through the stuff sold at Rebecca's crafting/assembly shop and I came across a word that I can't seem to figure out:
魚の仕かけ - Translates as "set the fish", can't be a fishing rod as I would expect that to be made at the blacksmiths. Fishing trap maybe?

ちょうしんき - Translates as "stethescope", but that can't be right. Why would you have a stethescope on a farm.

About the stethescope, Isn't it to listen to your animals? Like in ToTT?

Thats what I suspect, because you can check their health.

Edit:
Nevermind.

I remembered that. That was why I editted that out.
I just need to figure out what 魚の仕かけ is.
So far it comes up as a crab basket.

@Osu
It says the same thing to me on translate. So im figuring it is a net. I would not think it was a fidhing rod, I figure you buy it from the blacksmith's, or Dunhill.
