I would think that designing a sign would be a great feature.
Even if it was just for aesthic purposes.

That would certainly be a funny inclusion.
I don't think HM has had a character like that.

But if the town is built upon over time I wonder what kind of requirements would have to be met to get people to move in. Maybe the town has a rating based on the things you do and as it goes up more people settle in the town. Or perhaps they have character specific requirements, like having to build something before they visit the village that year or have to wait till their next visit.

I wish we could get someone to translate some of the info for the characters on the scans.

Maybe a mix of those plus how well you're doing on your farm/how much you've shipped and earned/yadda yadda. Doing well on your farm allows the town rating to go up allows more building of the town allows certain characters to move after the town has improved].

Yeah that was my assesment too.

But we have theories for what occupation Alen, Felicia, and Iroha have, but what kind of job do you think Rod has? I just can't think of what he might do based on his concept art. That's why I hope someone can translate his character description in one of the scans.

Any thoughts on what your going to make your character look like?
Yourself, favorite character, someone you idolize?

I mentioned this before, but for me I plan to make him look as close to me as customization in the game will allow.

It wll probably be only a selection of different colors and styles as opposed to the sliding system of other games, since this is Marvelous' first time employing something like this. So I don't expect it to be incredibly accurate. And I will also give the character my name as well.

I always like the idea of making a character that is like me. It just makes me feel more like I am more immersed in the game and interacting with the world.

I'm going to try to make my character look like me the best it can go. I'm pretty sure, like you said, they'd only have colors to choose from so there won't be an in between color between yellow and brown. :'D

I'll probably just mess around with the customization until I find a look that I like. XD;

Well they might have some variation on things like like hair color as people do have more hair color variations. But I just don't think it will be something like a color pallette select, where you will have a massive number of colors to choose from.

I don't know. I may try to customize it as myself or keep the default. I guess the hair is similar anyway.

I hope that one day I will own a 3DS and that this game will be good. I think the new console gives a large opportunity to create a new game that appeals to more people. Most of the games lately seem to be more directed at a younger audience as seen through the simplicity and such.

Random thought, how many save files do you think it would have? The traditional 2 or do you think the game could have more?

Maybe instead of a fisherman, he's a professional water-skier. Or maybe he's some kind of inventor who needs the goggles for when he uses his blow-torch or something and the jacket is just bad fashion sense. Or maybe he's a pilot; they have goggles sometimes.

Or maybe the goggles do nothing.
