Land of Beginning/A New Beginning General Information Thread

Well, hey there, everyone. Just in case you haven't noticed, I'm new to UNoT, and thought I would give my 2 cents more like $20, but yeah... on the game so far. Kinda been stalking the thread since it's inception, so here I go. First of all, I'm seriously glad about how great the WP looks in this game. Previously, I always liked her personality, but there was always someone I liked more. Still gonna use my common 'court everyone to find out about them, then ditch all but one of them at the end' tactic, but I think I'm going for her. I seriously hope that the personalities are better and more... filling this time around. Third of all: to anyone who HAS the game already, how's the dialogue looking to you? Is there still a lot of this 'always happy, never sad, except for 1-2 grumpy characters that warm up to you right away' stuff? (Please bear with me, like I said, I'm new.) And finally... How good is the map itself? I mean, it wouldn't be a great game to me, at least if it didn't have at least a few variations in scenery here and there. Sorry if any of this has been addressed already, but yeah...

I actually find Sengoku to be very Shigure Sohma-esque, if I do say so myself. None of the bachelors are very Veneziano-like, that role seems to fall more to Michelle or Felicia. Bonus points for Feli since N. Italy's human name is Feliciano.
Allen reminds me of Estonia. I think it's the hipster comparisons.

Estonia is the hipster of the group... Allen is the hipster of the group... just put the two hipsters together for the crossover :3

Was just reading up some of the character dialogue on the Japanese wikis...

So aside from running an animal shop, Neil is a bass player! Also, he really isn't a Vaughn clone from the text I read. He's pretty gruff but he isn't a jerk to you. That's nice.

- hipster!Allen really is a pompous « Mr.Gourmet's hat » lol.
- Iroha seems really sweet and polite.
- Yuri is a socially awkward penguin.

I don't have the game, I'm just reading the dialogue snippets people are posting on the Japanese wiki.

I mentioned before Neil is gruff but not a mean guy by any means. I think I'll really like him.

Here are a few random lines of his (translated)

　オレなんかといても、おもしろくないぜ？」
"You've really got a lot of time to kill, don't you?

The translations are a bit liberal but I think they get the character across way better (and just sound less awkward) than a 100% literal translation.

Also, I think you can go into people's houses when they are sleeping, or maybe it's something after marriage only. Because either way, someone put up lines of Allen sleep-talking.
Looking forward to eventually getting this game now.

Aww, he actually sounds pretty cute :3 Thank you Nurse Fin for the translations, I appreciate it! I think its neat that he plays bass. Neil sounds look a cool character~ I know who I'm marrying now

That's a first, it kinda makes your player seem like a creeper. I mean, who goes into people's houses when they are asleep? O.o It sounds like a fun feature though, I'll probably fun around talking to everyone while they are sleeping. Hopefully the game will be released in America by next summer.
