The flowers are a nice change, and like kemmy said, fits the style but I still prefer the hearts. Just so used to them.

Overall I like the hearts better, but flowers go perfect with this game too

I like both, and I find that for this Harvest Moon flowers fit perfectly, but I just don't get the same feelings seeing a fully bloomed red flower compared to a full ... uh.. enlarged red heart?
Like with the previous games finally getting their hearts to red and seeing made me go "YAY FINALLY
"
How seeing Cam with the flower I was more like "YAY FINALLY
"
If that makes any sense...

I like them both. Maybe the flowers a little more though since all the villagers have them. I always remember in past games how I wished the villagers had something to indicate their FP too. It also makes me want to befriend the villagers more. That one little wimpy flower you start with irks me then I geek out and feel so accomplished when a new flower adds on.
The one thing I don't like about the flowers though are the green level ones. It blends too much with the stem and looks weird to me.

Hearts make more logical sense, but visually, I like the flowers better. The 'meter' is unobtrusive yet pretty and decorative. xD
It's there if I want to look at it, but it never demands my attention, which I think is a good thing.
Not like it has a huge impact on the game, so it's not a big deal to me either way.

I like both, though I'm partial to hearts since it's what I grew up with. I still find myself calling them heart events~ x33 However, I do think the flower system works well for villagers you're trying to befriend~ C: Perhaps in future games they could have a "heart" like the classic games for bachelors/bachelorettes on the portrait, and then have flowers in the dialogue to show the friendship as well~? Regular villagers would just have flowers like in TTOTT.

I think Flowers are a great idea for the villagers but I wish the hearts for the Bachelors/bachelorettes would have stayed. It feels nice to see that big red heart thumping at you through the screen

I like both. The flowers fit well in this game and I like how you can see the flowers for the villagers as well instead of not knowing at all or having to check your asset sheets to see how much FP they have.

I liked the flowers for a change but I think that for bachelors/bachelorettes it could still be hearts... and villagers, flowers. I dont know... flowers dont give that 'impact'

Flowers! I like that you can see them easily on everyone, and that they're not just reserved for marriage candidates. Besides, a low-level flower still looks nice, while a small black heart always looked so gloomy and ugly. Besides, making a string of flowers buds bloom seems to give me a much bigger sense of accomplishment than just a few of the characters having a differently colored-heart.
It'd be neat if they would bloom in progressive sizes, rather than being all tiny flowers until the final one. It'd be more easily noticeable.
