@Googa, gotta agree, I liked the VAs for most of the games, RF2s were pretty bad on some of the characters, but some of them were still pretty good.

They made the series to be more like an RPG (imo) so it does kind of make sense if they slacked a little on the family feature.
Though, it would still be a appreciated if they improved it..

Didn't Natsume work on these too? And the first game is called "Rune Factory: A Fatnasy Harvest Moon" after all.

Natsume did translations, they didn't produce nor develop the game.

Marvelous works on HM, and Neverland works on RF.
Marvelous still publishes Neverland though, they don't do any work on it however.

What Banana said.

Also the first RF was a spin off of HM but possibly as soon as RF2 they made it a series all of it's own. So they no longer are trying to associate the games with HM. Even the official Japanese site for HM games does not list any RF other then RF1.

.......oh. You mean like how Bandai translates the Shonen-Jump anime/manga based video games?

They could improve this game by improving the AI, and I am not talking about the towns people, I am talking about the enemies, who blandly just chase after you as soon as you get within 20 feet of them, maybe they could have a line of sight, and maybe they could make it so you could get the from behind and knock them out or do a special move to kill them in one blow. That would definitely make things more interesting seeing as then they would not simply just know you are there, which always pisses me off when I am just trying to run through a dungeon to water my crops and I get hit by a random laser.

I just wish that they'd make it so the "kids" would actually be Kids. It's annoying and makes it to where you don't want children.

The girl option sounds great too. It be a refreshing change of pace. :)

Well, this is why I'm excited about the series' leap to the 3DS. All that processing power can be used to stuff a lot of features into the game. We're possibly talking about better A.I., bigger places, more interactive stuff, etc.

Not that I'm already expecting all that in RF4 (I think that one's being released too early for it be really polished or anything) but the potential is certainly there already.

Thrown weapons and ranged weapons would be awsome, more magic spells, better combat in general, better quests, more dungeons,AND THE CLOTHES I WANT TO BE ABLE TO LOOK LIKE HOW I WANT TO LOOK!!!

I guess because I never completed a Rune Factory game, I never saw everything the games had to offer. I do like the liveliness of the town in RF3 along with the farming aspect.

There is one thing I'd like them to change though. The bulliten board missions, omit them entirely. In Rune Factory's 2 and 3 you're pretty much either doing errands or exploring dungeons all day. At the same time I don't want the game to devolve to Rune Factory, which was nothing more than spend all day in dungeons until it was time to go home. Make the games more social and explorative outside the dungeons, like how they did Rune Factory Frontier only a little better (I haven't played Tides of Destiny yet so maybe what I'm looking for is there).

About the thrown weapons thing-It would be pretty cool to have the protagonist chucking knives at monsters.

I'd like new weapons. I want to use a bow and arrow. Throwing knives would be fun too ^^.

Ranged weapons would be interesting, but I think they kind of have that covered with magic..
But then, they don't have any physical damage magic, so it could be useful I guess.

Yeah, character customization would be nice.

@Fang, yeah, basically. Bandai (from what I know) doesn't produce or develop it, they just translate it then publish their translation.
(Bandai are the ones who translate DBZ fighters.. right? Like the Tenkaichi Budokai series and such..)
