I have Photoshop and I've been using it to crop my avatars and so far it's been working, but now it's telling me this:
The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 40 KiB
What am I doing?
Please help =_____=;

That means the avatar's resolution/size is too big. What you need to do is either, lower the quality of the picture or make it smaller. :]

You can also try converting it to a different file type.
Like a jpg or bmp. You can do this by saving the image on your computer.
Then use a image modifying program to save it in a different format.
Unlike signatures you can upload an image to Ushi from your computer.

Yah, I don't think external avatars have a size limit.
But just FYI: When you save preview something in Photo-ripoff, you should get a file size estimate. If you want to upload the avatar, you'll need to make sure that you're saving the file so that it only takes up 40KB or less. To do that, reduce the quality, or change the iamge format. Out of the most common formats, gifs and jpegs typically use the least space, whereas pngs and bmps use the most.

Don't convert it to a .jpg!!! You're about to ruin your avatar! D: Always use .png

(I once made a song about that~ :3))
I just upload mine to photobucket and use the direct link if it doesn't fit the file size. Works every time! :D
