I had a go at the images on that website Origon posted them quickly in GIMP to add a grid.

Still working on my trenches though. The final watering can is 60 squares, right?

I'm guessing Lucaspontes' blue dots are fertilizer of some sort. :3

until you get the new one. and then upgrade it twice. it'll hold 100 once it's completely and fully done.

Uh... it's long... long (203 squares?). I wonder if I even will have enough stamina. The blue squares are fertilizers.

@Arcy: Duh! How could I forget to use GIMP? Anyway, old paint did the job

Figured I'd share what I have for mine.

the different colors are simply for trench distinction. S is start, F is finish. You'll note that the square trench has 101 squares, with the dark blue B being the 101st. That's so I can water on S, have it water to F, and I can still stick a fertilizer in if I have the need to (bounty). The missing winter tree is on my bluebell farm. The way the trees are arranged is the top two are spring, next two are summer, the bottom two are fall (and the one just outside the house is the 3rd fall). The W's represent optimal watering location so that the water reaches both sides at pretty much the exact same time.

Gah I'm going to have to completely redo my idea if the final watering can holds 100 squares of water at once!

Verrrrry nice/elegant fields to both of you by the way.

lucas: I assume you mean to dig it, not to water it, since watering will use up stamina just once for the entire use of the watering can on a trench. To continue digging a trench once it's 'broken' by you being exhausted or whatever, simply redig the last square in the trench and continue the trench from there.

No, I meant watering, but I was wrong, I didn't know that the watering can could hold 100 squares. (even though, that wouldn't be a big stamina loss) I also noticed that upgraded tools makes you lose more stamina.

they do take more stamina, but they also work a lot more effectively and get more done for that stamina
(although according to http://fogu.com/hm10/basics/stamina.php the watering can always takes 2 stamina. That might just be missing data though)

Ah, but doesn't the Oracle give you those magic potions that increase your Stamina? I think if you get those you should be fine to water such a large field!

I hate that the field "large enough to grow trees" on Bluebell is big enough to grow... one tree. Boo!

Um, which field affects the beehives too for certain types of honey? Just the one directly south of the beehives? Does the skinny one to the left change the honey type too?

^I planted some flowers in the 2x2 square near the house, and they affected the honey.

Back from watching X-Factooooorr.... *reads posts and then facepalms* Well, this is what I get for not looking at everything in detail. Okay, back to the drawing board.

@ Origon: Just how much of that field is going to hold non-tree/grain/bush crops? It's one thing to have a lot of things going on at once, it's another if you have to spend majority of the day harvesting them. xD

I figure my large 101 square will be reserved for 5star pineapples / other profitable (regrowable crops in variety), while the other 100 goes to various other crops of the season. the 36 and 9 at the bottom will be grains for sure. For me, most of the enjoyment from the game is planning out that farm. In reality, I'll probably end up expanding Bluebell all the way (halfway done now), planting the konohana farm for a single full summer, and then putting the game down, picking it up occasionally to mess around

My tea tree bushes are left of my trees already (10 of them). I might do a bit more grains up top if i decide that. While I'm optimizing this farm, I'm not going to plant 236 5star pineapples and kill myself every 3 days harvesting them :P

Yea, this is something I was thinking. If I spend 2 seconds harvesting each crop, I will spend almost 7 in-game hours to harvest 200 :o
When this happen I will have to cancel my daily foraging/fishing.
