When I plant a lot of a regrow-able crop that is highly profitable, I stagger them. Plant 1/3rd on the 1st day, 1/3rd on the 2nd day, 1/3rd more on the 3rd day. It helps quite a bit with time management and keeping your schedule consistant. (Not that I'm at that point yet in TToTT! I wish.)
Then I only plant a few of everything else for requests/cooking ingredients/presents.

^I though on that, but I would miss the last harvest of the pineapples planted on the 2nd and 3rd days.

^ while I hate to break it to you, 200 5star pineapples (converted with a seedmaker) is only 8,640,000g profit for an entire summer (assuming you get 0 rainy days and water twice daily) even with. Even double that (5 bounty fertilizers) is going to be just over 17mil, and those fertilizers aren't easy to get =(
While the staggering idea is good, you need to have the wild outfit to make it work. With both pineapples and watermelons, the final crop of the season will mature on the 30th, which means you are already losing the final crop for plantings 2 and 3, and most likely for the first planting as well if you get more than 1 rainy day (or storm) in all of summer.

the 10 fertilizers will indeed give you 5star pineapples but only on the 2nd last and last harvest. I would suggest using 12 fertilizers (and you'll have to change them daily), since with 10 you NEED 4 rainy / stormy days or less in the entire season (including afternoon-rainy days), and with 12 it gets you 5star on the 3rd last harvest at 24days mark. Although none of that applies if you have the wild outfit / will have it by then.

Sorry, but I didn't quite understand that... what do you mean, I need 4 rainy days or less? And I only need the last harvest to be 5 star. And no, I won't have the wild outfit, but I will need it for year 4. Will move to Bluebell on Fall to win the sheep contest. If my sheep doesn't produce Great Wool until summer of the fourth year, I will be so mad!Origon wrote:the 10 fertilizers will indeed give you 5star pineapples but only on the 2nd last and last harvest. each fertilizer gives the crops 1 point per day. The harvests will be on days 12,15,18,21,24,27,30 IF you water the crops twice a day. If you water once, they will take longer. A rainy day counts for 1 watering. A morning rainy - afternoon sunny day can be 2 waterings if you wait till 6 to water again. An afternoon rainy day counts as 1 watering as well. A summer typhoon is only 1 watering as well.
A pineapple has 5 stages of growth
Which means that the 10 fertilizers will reach the 271 points required for 5star on day 28. If you have 4 rainy / stormy days (of 1 watering), you will not get a crop between days 28 and 31.

Ah, I see. Then 12 it is. Though I suspect that you need less than 271 to get to five star. My yam had 12 fertilizers and it got to 5-star on day 22. 12 x 21/22 (does it count the day the day of the harvest?) = 252/264. I think that's because it might take less than 30 points to get to 1-star. I had only one fertilizer on a crop and it got to 1-star before day 10, though by the end of the season, it was still 1-star. Not a big thing though.
Auugh! I super need sleep, this is keeping me awake (again).
Here's what I've got so far (and thank you again Origon for the image!), but I think I might try starting over some time this weekend if I'm not too busy.
No idea if I'll ever have enough Bounty Fertilizer to go into those slots... doubtful though.
Figured purple, blue, yellow are for profitable crops, and the pinkish area for force growing shorter duration/non-reharvestable crops into five stars over time.
