I (only suggest) that you don't keep a row of fertilizers by your trees (and the same for lucaspontes). Your trees will not be your main moneymaker (if you don't believe me, go check how often they bear fruit and how much it sells for at http://wiki.gamepit.jp/futago/index.php ... 9#a11c9972 copy the link if the kanji is cut off, google translate will do the job), so you will pretty much never have a bounty fertilizer for the trees, it just costs way too much. You can plant the first row of trees, wait for them to be 5 stars (surround them with fertilizers if you have to) and then plant the next row once your first trees are 5star and you bash the fertilizer sticks in :P You'll want the bounty fertilizer for those 5star watermelons / pineapples you'll have growing in the rest of the field =]

I was only really worried about cooking favorite dishes for people for gifts... but by the time I get that far, they'll probably already be at full bloom just from talking every day. I made mine pretty easy to consolidate just in case I wanted to move my trees closer together.

Doubt I'll ever save up enough to get even one Bounty Fertilizer just because there is not enough cart space to store junk forever.

Yours is really good Ryu... you've got something planted in each available spot! Your plan is pretty efficient with grains in the hard to reach areas and watering can upgrade friendly, since you seem to prefer smaller sets of crops in your trenches.

... I might steal it!

This is what I came up with just because I'd prefer my trenches to be neater. Any empty space outside the trenches I've filled with a tea tree instead of leaving the space empty to up the profits from the fields. To me the space down the left and the square on it's own at the top are perfect for trees. :>

The smaller fields around the farm could alternate between crops and flowers!~

Edit: The fertilizer areas near the trees are for increasing the star rank only and will be replaced by crops/grains/flowers after. Other fertilizers seem to be useless for trees anyways. :>

Do tea trees not need to be watered? I could definitely put them in my unused squares if so.

No, tea trees do not need to be watered. I might have to start doing some planning for my fields...

@Arcy
haha thanks you can steal it any time. And no, you don't need to water the tea trees. This is why the seed bag has the same color/design as the other trees(pink bag with white stripes).

@Meevers
I like your farm planning, but i prefer horizontal lines (i don't know why). I like cool looking fields like that. So i am not sure about using an efficient or cool looking fields.
Both with its cons and pros :)

I think I just prefer anything that looks more farm-like rather than having swirls and weird looking extended U-shapes and stuff all over the place, I think it makes it look untidy and not very nice even if it might be practical. Although I think you can utilise the space AND make it look nice which is what I've tried to do. Pleasing to my eyes = better!~ :>

Here's my third one, and I super borrowed from everybody. Now I need to stop doing these or I'm not actually going to play the game and unlock the expansions. Heh.

another thing you want to remember is how long your trenches are compared to how big your watering can is. how many trips would it take you to water your entire field may be something you want to consider when planning out the trenches =]

No, I'm only gonna use normal fertilizer for trees. And I don't even plan to use bounty for pineapples.
You can see my trees are kinda strange, but that's because I didn't plan ahead and planted trees after my second field upgrade. Now I don't want to chop them, since they are already matured and fertilized.

Now I made 2 100-square trenches, to make things easier when watering:

Lucaspontes, can I ask you if the fertilizer still affects a tree after it is fully grown? My peach tree was giving me 3 star peaches, and I'm still fertilizing it hoping it will get better star rank later, but if you tell me it won't, I'll quit it right now.

To continue digging a trench once it's 'broken' by you being exhausted or whatever, simply redig the last square in the trench and continue the trench from there.
Omg, I love you for posting this...I've just hammered and dug them all over again when I run low on stamina and do that stupid 'I'm tired' animation in the past.

luna - the fertilizers will affect a tree at any point, while it's growing and while it's fully grown. you can surround a tree with fertilizers if you wish to raise its star rank quickly (even while it's producing fruit), and then simply hammer them in and use that space for something else.
