WHICH IS AWESOME. Since I only have one crop island (still early game, just got mining island) I plan to hold off on harvest monsters until I get more space.

Quick question: monsters can farm any crop on any crop island, correct? My ant grows tomatoes and spinach on the spring island, which confused me greatly initially. Is there some benefit to put summer crop monsters with summer crop island? ...or am I incorrect about what counts as which season crops? I want to maximize profits XD

I personally have yet to see any difference in growing a crop on one island vs the others. The speed the crop grows and what kind of crop seems more affected by friendship.

I've had tomatoes growing like crazy on my spring island until I got the summer island. xD

And i didn't really bother with a harvester monster until I got the summer island, as running three islands was to much work and time.

Ok that's good to know. ...wait, why have season themed islands if it doesn't affect the crops growing on them?! Jeez... Yea I had tomatoes and spinach on my spring island as well and got confused XD I agree with you, no harvest monsters until I get summer island.

well, since i haven't noticed a difference, it hasn't bugged me to much. But I'm personally trying to still keep the proper seasonal crops on their proper islands. xD Just in case.

It might effect the chance of big crops, though. Since I've only gotten big strawberries and big cucumbers on my spring island, and no big tomatoes (though i was growing tons of those). Only got big onions on the summer island.

Really? I vaguely remmeber getting big tomatoes on spring island... although maybe that was just because the monster's level was so high?

Speaking of which, my spring flower just grew a bunch of emery flowers :D Sooooo excited. Although I've noticed the general price for flowers is not as high as other RF games :/

That probably has to do with the fact that they are so easy to obtain.
You really don't do much work and many grow faster.

That's true... :/ The crop/monster system in this game really does defeat the usual purpose for farming in RF games - farming in dungeons so you don't die as much going through them x.x

Um quick question and it's probably stupid but are there any monsters that mine for u on the winter island? I had a goblin and a mantis on it but neither did anything.

Sorry, there are only monsters to harvest crops. There are no monsters that cut trees or break ore rocks. Goblins are crop growers, and Mantis only harvest crops.

Sadly, no creatures chop or mine for you. And no monsters will plant crops for you. just grow them. =P

Hmm you just reminded me that I haven't really seen emery flowers on the list of crafts/forge recipes I have. I'm not very high level though... maybe that's why. I have found some recipes for the other flowers though :/ I'm assuming emery and other rarer flowers will be necessary for the higher level accessories/weapons (as per usual). Do you know how long it takes for an emery flower to grow in this game? Low or high FP is fine - I just need a ballpark figure if possible.

This is a rough rough estimation. they do take a while, but not as long as the trees.

I haven't seen the emery flower in the recipes yet either, and I have about 60% of the recipe books. So I'm guessing they're with the high lvl items. (I'm seeing 4-leaf, pom-pom flower, noel flower, and fireflower showing up in recipes now...so...)

Edit: Correction to that. In my crafting table, the Tiara (lvl 85) uses an emery flower in its recipe. =P

Also! A tip for befriending monsters - if they have status effects (at least with poison) they will not react to your brush. I spent like 5 minutes brushing a poisoned low level slime and realized the other healthy slime got hearts but not the one I brushed -.-

it still will tame them though. I use the Sakura blades, which poison my enemies. I'm still able to brush and tame a poisoned monster. Its just sometimes the poison animation overrides the heart animation.
