I've thought about stuff like that so many times, especially while playing ToT and AP because you can continue on as your supposed "child", but you can marry that child's dad, and everyone who may or may not have been wooed at some point by your original MC? It's a bit weird, to say the least. :S Not asking for loads of generations, but at least 1 extra! :Dnana77 wrote:I hope there will be rival couples and i hope they'll have kids. Wouldn't it be nice if your child could marry one of the rival children?:D A second generation would be nice like Rune factory 2. That would make the game more exciting after marriage.

Haha I know right :D. Beating Jamie is one of my greatest Harvest Moon experiences in any game. I'd love to be able to do that again.TheHarvestGoddess wrote:Oh, right. >.< /facepalms at selfGoogaboga wrote:I don't mean the Rival Couple Feature. I mean the Rival Feature. As in Jamie was your rival in all the festivals and everyday shipping. Why can't there be another farmer as crazy as the MC XD?
In that case, I agree! :D I usually lost to Jamie, but that one time I won against him I would jump up and scream "IN YO' FACE!" while pointing at the screen. XD
I used to be mad.

Ooh, yeah! :DKiyoumi wrote:And I wouldn't mind jealousy events, either...
You could have events where, if you have hearts with both the rival and the guy/girl you're both after, the MC and the rival would both act like actual rivals instead of just friends that are both unknowingly after the same person.
Yeah, it's so much fun, and it gives a real sense of competition instead of just your last year's income, and is even better in the first year when you have no "personal best" to go against. ^^Googaboga wrote:Haha I know right :D. Haha, actually, somewhat similar! In ToTT, in some of Ash's events, Cheryl happened to stumble upon her precious brother and the female MC on their dates; I'd like something similar to that, with the rival simply looking on with a "..." bubble above their head. Then, if you talked to them later that day, they'd be rather rude/cold towards you. If you raised their friendship to mimic the friendship of their love interest, the jealousy event would play involving the MC, the rival, plus the person they are vying for. I think it would be nice to have a rival that would pretty much blurt out that they wouldn't lose and compete with you throughout the game (possibly even after marriage, based on if you marry the person they like...?)TheHarvestGoddess wrote:Ooh, yeah! :DKiyoumi wrote:And I wouldn't mind jealousy events, either...

Ooh, yeah, and along with the love of the guy/girl, it could be different things you compete in depending on who they are and what they do? Like if they were on a farm like you, you could compete with how much you ship, or how much you bring in for the farm, or if they work in a clothing shop you could see how much yarn you can each bring in for the shop, stuff like that? :DKiyoumi wrote:Haha, actually, somewhat similar! I'd love for Rival Marriages to return, but I wouldn't mind if they didn't. My biggest pet peeve about Rival Marriages is that it seems as if they're the canon couples, while your character is SUPPOSED to be single forever, instead of butting her head in, unless she marries a special candidate or the other MC if they're in the game.
