Anyone else hoping for a return of rival marriages?

I REALLY want a return to rival marriages, it's just not the same without them. And PROPER rival marriages, with heart events and all, not TOTT's weak replacement of it. I hope they have kids as well and, if not asking for too much, rival kids with PORTRAITS. It just doesn't feel the same talking to a faceless kid XD

Yeah I want to see the return of rival couples and rival children. They add a good deal of flavor and interest to the story rather then all of the love interests, apart from the one you choose, remaining single forever.

Rival couples/children would be awesome, but whoever gets paired with the red haired guy will probably have to incur the wrath of the fangirls.

^^ i too want the return of rivals it's just not the same without them...all the little pixels deserve to be happy

Definitely want them back, along with rival children so your kid isn't lonely. I wonder if some day they'll make it so that the opposite gender main character can come along and marry the "left-over" part of a rival couple when you marry someone. Then no one would ever have to be alone again.

I would love to see rivals and rival marriages. Honestly, I don't know why Marvelous removed them from GrB or ToTT. Seeing people getting married was always fun. I saw the growing bond between them and then I saw them happily changing their lives. The rival's kids would be nice as well. At least my kid would not be all alone.

I thought GrB did have rival couples? .__.;

and it's just not the same competing against someone for the object of your interest's affection

I want the people around me to have lives and grow bonds with each other. No harem for me, thank you.

I would like rivals again. It is always fun to see who characters like. It makes them more realistic.

They took rival marriages out of HoLV too. There were rival couples but they never married :/.

There never were any rivals for Leaf Valley, it was only official in Magical Melody. There's no rival events of any kind in that game. They were hinted in StH, but that was it.

(Just in case anyone's curious, the couples were Lyla/Louis, Kurt/Dia, Joe/Katie, and Bob/Gwen. Not sure if Parsley and Gina should be a couple)

psssh, of course. Rivals help make things much more interesting and more realistic, especially since LoB makes the people look more their age....also makes you feel more superior if you bother to create a character that looks like you and become a pimp of sorts :D

Actually, there were some hinted rival couples. Depending on who you pursued, in Katie's cake event in which you have to go on a romantic date with that "special someone" they would pair up based on the rival couples, but if you were romantically involved with someone, then that couple would be ignored. Like, I was wooing Dia, so Katie mentioned her and Joe, and Gwen and Bob going to the even thing, and that Dia and I would do it as well. I'm sure if I had been wooing someone else, it would've been remarked that Dia and Kurt would've gone out for the Moonlight viewing thingy. I've also heard of (romantic) events between Gina and Charles, before.

That's not true. In the third year it is possible to get a rival event for couples in HoLV. Gina and Parsley did not have a rival event in HoLV. The rest of the couples you listed do.

(I did read that Gina and Charles had a scene where it implied they liked each other though. I wanna see that XD)
