Debating at whether I should ask this for Christmas. I don't want to waste money/gifts, and I really am not interested in this particular Otome game, but I want to show support for the marke of them, too. Eh. I guess I'll buy it. May turn out better then I think.
I would much rather have Starry Sky because this one doesn't quite appeal to me, but I will more than likely buy it to support the genre because I definitely want to see more than of these games.
^ Starry Sky apparently got picked up by JAST, but I haven't heard much about it. It's possible they might be waiting to see how well Hakuouki does before doing anything with it.
I heard about the whole JAST USA wanting to translate Starry Sky, but I think it's still in negotiations right now because they need permission from the voice actors. It has been in negotiations for a while, so it may or may not happen. I don't want to get my hopes up about it, but who knows? Maybe they will have permission soon, and start moving forward as well.
Regardless, I am going to try and buy this game even it isn't really my style. Because if it doesn't do well, they probably won't consider translating anymore of these type of games. I have faith in Aksys anyhow. They have done a good job on the things they have picked up to translate the last few times. 999 being a great example.
So even if the store doesn't know about the preorder bonus right now, as long as we preorder it we'll still get the art book and soundtrack? I hope that's the case. I don't wanna have spent those 10 extra dollars for nothing.
The artbook and soundtrack CD are not preorder bonuses. They only come with the limited edition of the game. As long as you clarify you want the limited edition, you should get the items. But yeah, like anon said, I'm sure the artbook and CD will be packaged in the game box.
