now i kind of wish there was a way to back our game data up on the memory card that came with the 3DS... T_T but I just started the game over (i was so sad because I was almost ready for cam to do his reverse proposal) so now I'm back at square one... it'd suck to do it again, but oh well... it'd be worth another fresh start if they fix the game.
I know! Backing up would be nice. But starting over would be very nice to just play without being bothered by glitches.
Also Cam doesn't have a reverse proposal. Only Ash, Hiro, and Kana have reverse proposals. So Dirk & Mikhail don't have any either. I was so disappointed when I found out he doesn't have one.

TOTALLY meant Ash T_T
lol I'm playing the game right now and I was talking to cam while I was typing and just put his name xD
I'm trying to marry Ash xD
I totally understand now. Lol. XD

I'm only in the middle of my first summer.... do you think I should return it and get the non-3D version? It was glitching less once I stopped putting my 3DS to sleep after every day...
GAH frustrating!

I bought the 3ds version and finally gave up on spring of year 2. To be fair it only froze three or four times in the mountains and once on the petting game but the deal breaker for me was the lag on the Konohana farm after upgrading the field. Two of the things I really enjoy about HM are harvesting crops and interacting with animals.
The 3ds destroyed those experiences for me. I would dread the lag when harvesting and the petting game just meant I didn't want to interact with the animals in case it forced me into that mini game with the option of freezing.
I bought the ds version and now play on my DSxl and I am loving it again. No lag no freezing- a completely different game.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I played my boyfriend's 3DS version (on his 3DS) hard for 3 actual days and it never lagged or froze on me.

my game lags when i have to harvest my crops .. and sometimes when my pets run outta the house ... that i can deal with ... but today my game froze for the first time when i went from an area to another in the mountain, and i'm only in year one summer 22nd :/
i'm really REALLY disappointed cuz i thought the 3DS version will be worth it .. but the 3D effects is not that good .. actually i can live without it .. and omg i hate the petting game!! , it was supposed to be a good feature but it's a pain for me >:(
i wish i bought the ds version so i can play it on my dsiXL and enjoy it on a large screen
le sigh

my 3ds version froze for the 7th time today... 6 out of 7 times was when switching areas on the mountain between 12 pm and 2 pm. so now i just avoid switching areas on the mountain during those times. the other time was when i was on the request board and clicked on the bare board as opposed to a request.

Just popping in to say that Natsume answered my e-mail saying that they're looking into the issue, but haven't heard anything since.
Also, I'm in Fall of year 1 and haven't had it freeze since Spring though lag still happens periodically. *shrug* No idea why I've had luck, but no complaints here.

Um, just thought I would post too, I'm sorry. Yes, my game has frozen maybe 10 to 15 times (really I promise) and I just got to maybe the 3rd week of summer year 1. I also sent natsume an email telling them about my troubles. Hopefully we will get some answers soon.

Yeah I played my DS version solely on my 3DS before the 3DS version came out.

Lol posting in an old thread. So yeah just came in here to post since I don't see any resolution to this. I've had this game for 3 days and it has frozen on me a dozen times at least (no lie). I have been searching around for a fix for this to no avail. I have found an email posted on a thread that said that it is a memory issue. Also that the petting game addition takes up a lot of memory and should not be done more than 5 times a day. They suggest resetting your system every other in-game day.
A lot of hassle if you ask me.
So yeah this seems to be a 3ds problem and I hope it has been fixed (got the 3ds the same day as this game) and have yet to connect it to the router so I don't know if there is a patch for this. I really hope there is because I traded in my dsi xl towards this. If this doesn't have a fix I am going to try to get my old system back and get a ds version of this game.
Anyways, love this site, been using it for a while yet never made an account. Will do so when I get back home.
(if I am missing any info related to this problem please fill me in.)

I think it has more to do with Natsume's poor porting of the game and not the problem with the 3DS itself.
Also why would you try to get your old DS back? The 3DS can play DS games, so wouldn't be a better idea to get rid of ToT 3D and just get the DS version.
