Everyone whom has encountered freezing or lag are not all in the same circumstances. From what I have experienced, and read all over forums, people freeze or lag with all types of characters, and in both towns. It isnt one thing in the game (for example, it does not matter if you chose girl or boy, live in Bluebell, travel with the cart, etc. It is the game cards malfunction somehow, but It isnt one particular thing.

my game froze again.
I had a red wonderful, but now it's gone. I'm thinking I found it on the day it froze.
Also, items aren't getting any less fresh on my game. I'm not entirely sure how the system works, but I'm fairly certain that flowers and other things aren't supposed to stay super fresh for 4+ days in my rucksack.

My game just froze on Spring 14 (Harmony Day), while running across the mountains on the Bluebell side.
Edit: I have a girl in Bluebell town. My wifi was off.

I think mine only froze because my 3DS was too hot or something.
It didn't feel like it was that hot, but that could have been the problem.

My version has frozen 5 or 6 times now, and I'm in late Summer.
I've found that it seems to freeze when you travel from one mountain area to another at the very beginning of the hour...early 12 PM to early 1 PM especially.
Though mine feels awfully warm after it freezes too...

Well.. it froze again so I was just lucky and shutting the WIFI off didn't help. It only happens when I go from one area to another too quickly. Like running through the mountains without stopping to get to the other town. Still not game breaking, just annoying.
@AlmostMello Your Dino/ninja avatar made my morning =)

Dont, I already heard rumors about it coming out half the price on black friday. Not sure if its true but if you didnt get the pre-order bonus, it would be better to wait in my opinion

Argh! I tried it again with brightness down and wifi off (still.) Still had freezing issues. So I turned the brightness back up, because it was killing my eyes that low. If it's going to freeze anyway I might as well be able to see. @___@

Hello. I tend to lurk here so never bothered to register. I want to tell you though that I just got the (much delayed) Canadian version today and I haven't gotten any freezes/lag yet and I'm on Spring 6. Dunno if it means Canadian versions are fixed or I just haven't encountered it yet, but when I go to a new screen, I always wait a few secs before moving. Don't know if that helps. Low brightness too.

They have never let us down before, so its not like they knew the glitches were there and said 'Well...we really want to start making bank so we are going to sell our loyal costumers a game that might glitch.'
3ds is a very very new platform, and this is natsumes first game for the 3ds, so there was bound to be issues.
I hate the glitches as much as everyone else, but i dont think natsume new about them.
How long have you been following Harvest Moon? I'm pretty sure Back To Nature had a freezing glitch as well... In fact, when my Two Towns froze I ended up laughing as I remembered playing the original Playstation. However, amusing as that tidbit of info is this is very annoying. I hope they can just release and patch instead of a recall because I'm leaving for Germany tomorrow. Not much I can do from there I don't think!

Ive always loved the games. I used to play it on my gbc. Ive never played the playstation ones though. Ive played the gbc, gc, wii, and ds versions though. I guess a better worded sentence would be 'theyve never let me down'
I doubt they will fix it anytime soon, so hopefully when you get back from germany you will be in luck. Have fun in germany, its beautiful.

You mean when I get back in like five years

Hopefully there will be lots of leave for my husband in between that time. I think I might invest in the regular version, I'm just happy to have the plush that came with pre-order. I always freeze in the mountains during the night. I chose crops over animals, but my planned husband is in Blue Bell. I've heard that the freeze also doesn't seem to happen on game save 2, maybe save slot 1 is corrupt programming?
