Animal Crossing question

This question is for anyone who has transferred their character data from "Animal Crossing: Wild World" to "Animal Crossing: City Folk".

When you transfer your character from AC:WW to AC:CF, do you have to enter a new town name for your AC:CF town, or does the town name stay the same?

I was wondering about this because I have a character who lives in the town of Pherae, and I didn't want to change the name.

If you've already set up a town in CF, then the name should stay the same when you move a character from WW.

OK then, thanks!

I'm wondering about moving a character from my DS town to a new Wii town now... Is it the same way?

I'm...not exactly sure what you by a new Wii town here. You can only have one CF town per Wii. But if you mean you want to use a WW character to start up a new CF town, you can do that, if that's what you meant. I did it myself. When I moved my WW character to start up my CF town, I was given the option to name my new CF town then.

I did it myself. Your character looks from WW stay the same and all the items in your catalog are still there for you.
No, you're still asked to name the town. Just put in the same name and you're set. Hope I helped. :)

Animal crossing! SUCH a good game. OMG I remember when I played WW everyday when I'd get on, I would open my gate, and in a matter of minutes my town was full of friends :) Then they quit, then I quit...and now I miss it. :(
