You don't. Just go to the top of the mountain and in sunny weather, you can call your owl to take you down to either village.

You don't need to train it, it'll fly you to Konohana or Bluebell without training. You can give it food though so it will love you more and land on your head when you come.

What does training your owl do? Is their really any point to getting the owl food if the training is worthless

You can't train the owl. Yes, feeding it is pointless. The only benefit of getting the owl's hearts up is that he will fly around and land on your head.

If you want, you can sell your owl treats that you bought...you will get the same money back that you paid for them. ^_^lose money, and you get your inventory space back!
