I'm in fall of my first year and have completed my first tunnel expansion. Problem is, I'm still a veteran rancher. I'm assuming this is some sort of glitch, and as I'm not too concerned with the glitch, or my ranch title, this doesn't bother me.
Anyone else had this issue though?

I believe tunnels expansions are based on the affections points of the mayors, not your title. I think it's not so much a glitch, as you were just lucky enough to become good friends with the mayors.

According to Cher it is worth 10k points to your farm degree for that.
So you should be at the fourth rank at least.

Maybe swing your tools and go through a whole day, and check the next in game morning?

I am not sure if it updates as soon as you get points, daily, or seasonal... :/
