May be because he has long hair.. *i know that weird reason,, ~.~
Off topic, at old school fan club, someone just said that he confused Cliff as a girl when kid and played hm64. Just because he have tailed long hair.
back to topic. love hiroxkana theory. I heard when you married Kana, he will asked to say goodbye to Hiro when MC moved from konohana to bluebell. what's more suspicious.. xD

hmmm, long hair does seem girlish to some, so i guess i could understand it, but i know many guys irl with long hair and many girls with very short hair
and i guess that makes sense if you new someone irl similar to Kana so that Kana reminds you of her.
at first i couldn't tell if Mikhail was a girl or a boy, but only because all of his faces except for his normal one seemed feminine to me. once i saw him in game he looked more like a boy.
and i thought that Hiro looked about 4 in online pics, but he looks like an 18 year old in my game

For the record, I was about nine or ten. (The game had just come out too, so there wasn't much on the internet for it either.) Due to school rules, guys didn't have long hair and HM64's graphics obscured gender well enough that it wasn't immediately obvious that Cliff was male. And, as I was always rather the loner tomboy (still am), the idea of a girl who was similar was intriguing.vie wrote:May be because he has long hair.. *i know that weird reason,, ~.~

Ok, so I know this is a little off topic from what's being said now, but this theory kinda got blown off. But, it's actually kinda plausible considering that the Japanese like some of the stranger fetishes/complexes. This one included. I mean, has anyone ever read or watched Angel Sanctuary by Kaori Yuki? Don't get me wrong, she's awesome and her manga Godchild is amazing too, it even has some instances of sibling love in it. And I bet most of us on here have heard of Ouran Host Club, granted the Hitachiin twins aren't really together but they make themselves out to be for the girls. And not only is it popular in Japan but it is here as well, granted it isn't always real siblings but step or half or adoption or something similar. I mean has anyone been on FF.N lately? Practically any popular series with a set of siblings has at least one story with them paired together, I can't count how many times I have seen Fred/George, or InuYasha/Sesshoumaru pairings on there.Farmy wrote:Ash and Cheryl? Totally doing it.
So it really is a plausible theory, as odd as it may sound to most! I don't mean to gross anyone out of course. Sorry for any offense taken!

But dude that's fandoms, not the Japanese in general. At least not as a whole. Some of the anime play on it like Ouran, but that's basically a spoof on fangirls anyway. HM games don't seem to follow that same pattern at all. I am absolutely positive that Marvelous did not intend for Cheryl and Ash's relationship to be anything but platonic sibling love.Kurai27 wrote:Ok, so I know this is a little off topic from what's being said now, but this theory kinda got blew off. I understand that, this is crazy theories anyway right? But it's not just fandoms when real writers write about the topic, even if they don't agree. It's a taboo thing, and that's what gets the readers attention... Anyway, I know Marvelous would never intend to have such a thing in their games. I was only responding to the comment that got blown off. I really didn't mean to cause a disturbance.... I'm really sorry!ConfusedBlonde wrote:But dude that's fandoms, not the Japanese in general.
