How do you name your animals?

Heh, my husband's grandmother raises various animals on her property (she's had chickens, turkies, geese, goats, pigs, rabbits, ducks, ect). She named her barn cat Stirfry because "everything that lived on that side of the lane was edible".

At first I just kind of named them randomly (Mitzi the cow, Lucy the sheep) then I started reading Pride and Prejudice and now I'm naming everything after that book.

That's about it. If I get a dog I suppose I'll name it either Bingley or Wickham, whatever fits.

Usually I name in themes. My cows tend to be named after chocolate. Hershey, Nestle... you get the idea, lol. Sheep tend to be materials like wooly, silky, linen, cotton. Chicken I usually number Chick 1-whatever. Dog is always Grizz or Grizzly and my cat is usually Kat.

I name them whatever I'm obsess... whatever I enjoy at the moment. Or who. For example: Marianas Trench obsession = Josh, Matt, Trench ect for my cows. And then I started like Kuroshitsuji... so I named my black cat Sebby and my white one Ciel. ^.^"

I like coming up with "cool" names lol the only animals I have with themes are my cows and sheep.

I have one dog name Korha, a cat named Nero my owl is Freja, I forgot my large dog's name O.O

Cows=Star Trek so far I have Kirk and Spock lol
Chickens=Mineral town bachelorettes Popuri, Karen, Mary, ect. <:
Sheep= Poof, Floof, Fluffy, Fatty and anything else sheeplike xD

That's my naming scheme for my cows, too! Well, Venus is always my first cow, and then it varies which I go with next.


Sheep: My first is always Sonata, and then I continue the music theme, depending on what fits. On consoles I move on to Nocturne next, but on handhelds I'll go to Bolero or something.

Chickens: First is usually Chii or Chidori, then stuff like Chiiko, Chichi, ect.

Horse is usually Tai, dog is usually Inuki, but not always. Cat is usually Luna.

It was really random when I did it, I never have done a Planet theme before. It was really late at night when I was playing ToTT and I just got my free cow. I couldn't think of a name, so for some reason I entered the name Mars. It's actually a pretty cute name, so I'm glad I chose it.
