I've decided to name all of my livestock in my next play through of a HM game after DBZ characters. Not so sure about chickens though

My cow is Bessie
sheep is nitiri (rip off and misspelled version name from avatar)
owl is hedwig (harry potter :3)
chicken is... I really can't remember
and my horse is... something i can't recall either.

my white kitteh is artems (short for artemis )
i think one of my dogs is charle
and i can't remember my other cat or dog.

I just go with whatever pops into mind when i buy them.

I name mine stuff like naruto,sauske,sakura,Ino,choji,tenten,tamari, and some times wabafet!!!

OMG i love dbz but do you watch dbz kai or the origanle me and three days grace love them ( tht is my friends user name and an awesome band ) go to www.animefreak.tv find dbz no kai i name my animals stuff from the show too

My first cow: Sophia
My horse: Grace
My first sheep: Angela
My first chicken: Lucy
Other chickens: Alice, Esther, Maria,
My little black dog: Claude
Two cats, black and white: Salt and Pepper

I have more animals, but I can't remember them..

Horse is also always Epona, and pets are named after ones I have had. Paka for cat and Mace for the dog. First cow is always Bessie (yeah, yeah, I know...) but after that, livestock get silly names.

Chickens- Fried, KFC, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, ect.
Cows- Beef, Steak, McD's, ect.

For me I always name my horse Speedy, and my Dog BowWow.

As for the others I name all of my cows after planets. Ex. Moon, Mars, Pluto, Etc.
For my sheep (I usually only have two at the most) I name them Baa, and Maa
For chickens I always name my first one Cluck my second one cheep and the 3rd one Peep. After that I just name them after food products that you can get out of them (both in the game and in RL) Ex. Eggys, yorkers, Scramble, Poached, Broiled, Etc.

I went a really boring route this time since I live in konohana and only have a few animals.

Cow: Milk
Sheep: Wool
Chicken: Egg
Silky Chicken: Eggy
White Alpaca: Heaven
Brown Alpaca: Earth

The six letter limit is mega annoying. It makes me not wanna even try on names. XP

Horse: Shiro

Cow: Candy (named on Halloween)
Cow: Cream
Cow: GyuNyu (cutest word for milk ever [Japanese])

Sheep: Mia (Based off Mio from Nichijou)

Chicken: Tamago (Cute Japanese word for egg)
Chicken: Eggies
Chicken: Autumn (named in fall season)
Chicken: Sine
Chicken: Cosine
Chicken: Tangen

I usually name my animals after mathematicians, but the 6-letter limit makes it impossible. (I couldn't even fit Mandelbrot! )

Meh I go through different naming schemes for whatever I'm feeling at the moment. For all my animals in HM DS Cute I named all my cows after pirates (ie; Edward, Calico, Kidd, ect.) and my chickens after random anime peeps (Mori, Ginko, Rukia ect.)

But at the moment I'm just giving my animals random names (Honey, Maya, Feathers XD )

I try to give my animals funny or sarcastic names.

Cows: Lulu, Lola, Tara, Bessie, Elsie - things like that
"Jersey" Cow: Snooki - I couldn't resist.
Horse: Charlie
Chickens: Wings, Nugget, BBQ, Sauce, Honey, Patty
Sheep: Snowy, Frost, Vapor, Mist, Cloud, Squall - you get the idea

YESSS! Awesome! Why didn't I think of that?!?! I am totally stealing that for my second game file.

Usually when I buy animals I don't really care/think about names for them. I either take the default or go with the first name that pops into my head. Sometimes I end up naming multiple livestock the same because I forget that I already used that name XD

I also rarely remember their names, which means when I look at the listing I have to double check which ones in the barn have which hearts. I just don't get that attached to my animals... except my pets, oddly enough.

Jersey cows:
All names are related to coffee in some way

Regular cows:
Mooma
Mimi
Dotti
Spotti

Chickens:
Baka (r.i.p just died T_T)
Quak
Blacky
Darky
...not sure on the rest of the 10 xD

Sheep: BaRamU
Sufolk sheep: Afro

Dogs: Animal, Bach, Batov, Hatchi
Cats: Luna, Choco

Owl: Headwig lol
