I'm very uninspired when it comes to naming animals. I always name my first cow Betsy (lol so unoriginal) and the others Spotty or MooMoo, or Milky.
My chickens are even more uninspired than my cows cause at least I try with my cows, lol. But my chickens get names that start with a T or end with a y.
My sheep are just as uninspired, I name them after soft/fluffy looking things, like Cloud or Fluffy, or Fluffers.
I always repeat animal names from my other HMs, I'm really not that creative haha xD

That's pure genious. Deffinately southern I take it? I have some family in Mississippi and that sounds like something they would sayJada wrote:Ha, my husband's grandma named her late barn cat Stirfry because "everything that lived on that end of the property tastes like chicken".pshycho wrote:It's alright Cherry I always name all of my chickens after food xD
Actually, we're up in Michigan. But she's a good ol' farmin' lady. She raises chickens and ducks and rabbits and sometimes she has geese and turkeys and pigs and goats. It depends on what she trades for at the start of the season. She's just one of those women who ends up with animals too when someone in the community ends up in a pinch.

I usually name my animals off of stuff they remind me of or food their products make. My first cow is always Bessie though because that's what I named my first cow in my first HM game. Then I'll usually name one Moomoo (after Momo) and then do whatever.
Chickens are usually like Cluck, Yolka, Sunny, Scrambled (if there's room), Omelet, etc.
Sheep are all over the place like cows: Fluff, Baab, Socks, and whatever else.
Though I'm starting to name my animals after my good friends and good ushi friends. :D

I usually name them after anime characters (Ciel, Usagi, Lina)
Or I name them after past harvest moon characters (Popuri, Cliff, Murrey)
Sometimes I just name them after random items (named one of my cows 'Lumber')

I don't have my copy of ToTT yet, so I haven't decided final names for my character of the farms so far. I tend to use books or series I like. This time I was thinking of using "A Song of Ice and Fire" names, but almost all my favourite names are over 6 letters. Maybe Babylon 5, who knows? Except for "Babylon", of course.
For the animals I'm not that creative. So, I always name my cows after favourite tennis players - Roger, Robin, Stan, and so on. For the sheeps I use the female players, like Henin (can't use Justine here), Kim, Venus. The chickens are the worst to name so I call them Ammy, Ally, Anny, Abby and all other combinations like these you can think of. I don't know about the alpacas yet, but I'll have time for that.

I like giving my animals weird/random/stupid names. x) It's fun.
My cow is named Patty y'know, like a hamburger? /shot (And I forgot my other cow's name~)
My dog is Jake... because it's nice and unoriginal. C:
My chickens are Chica and Jerry. xD Jerry's name was inspired by "Little Jerry" the chicken from an episode of Seinfeld.
When I get more chickens, I want to name them Pollo and Huevo... which mean "chicken" and "egg" in Spanish.
