Ok, so Eileen has posted the "Big Bed" request on the board, and ever since then, I haven't been able to find any Ore Stone when I know I've found it before!
It's really ticking me off because I want to move on to clearing the tunnel! :C Hnnng.

The best place to find ore stones is the foraging spot behind the waterfall (the crack where the grass is coming out). There is no guarantee that you'll get it on the first try because foraging is random, but keep checking back at that area.

Oh, and during winter you could find them in snowballs :)
They're actually very common in snowballs.

Also if you get rainy/snowy weather you have a higher chance at finding the orestones behind the waterfall then you do on nice days. Same goes for stormy days in summer as well. Sometimes you can just find them lying on the ground when its a typhoon. and like SailorDanielle stated, in winter you can find them in snowballs. But adding to that, on the Konohana High mountain area, where you go down the dirt slide, you run along the creek right to the bottom and theres a small alcove on your left which you can only access in wintertime. Theres a pretty good chance at finding orestones there, just lying on the ground.

Try reading Blue Trillium's Guide on Ore Stones. It answers anything you could ever want to know about them.
