How do you get Lloyd and other party members to dress in new clothes??

Well, you need the Title for it (Nobleman, Arrgh Me Hearties, Dream Traveler, etc.), and you just change the character's Title. And you change their Title in the Status screen.

Well I'm almost done with the game (recently got on to disk 2) and I still haven't gotten any titles that change my appearence. Is that abnormal?

If you're triggering the right cut-scenes...for example, go to Zelos' house after you've saved the princess of Meltokio and talk to the butler, and you'll trigger an event where some of your characters can get new clothes. ^^ There's also a woman at the beach-resort town who will give some of you bathing suits if you sucessfully get all four of her girls to come back to the hotel. ^_^

To unlock most costumes you have to open the door to the final fight, enter and view the cutscenes and then run out.
You'll be able to get lots of cutscenes, costumes, extra stuff, extra bosses, after that.
The only costume you will be given in the storyline is the Cruxis one for Kratos. You know, the one with 18 belts on the front!

Is this game worth getting? I cant decide whether to have it or not...

absolutely, in fact it's the best game i've played so far. 
as for the costumes, you actually need to only finish the event in flanior.
after you leave flanior, u can go to the asgard platform, and raine will ger a costume, for presea u go to Altimaria to the president's floor in the co. (u can get this after completing the Latheon Gourge), for colette go to the meltokio castle and speak to a maid there, for sheena just go to mizuho, for Zelos u just have to walk up to his house, for Genis u go to meltokio slums, then to the Katz villiage (in Sylvarant), then back to meltokio slums, and for Regal u do have to get the Derris Emblem to get his costume, u go to meltokiio castl and outside you'll get a cutscene. Lloyd's quest is really long so I'll skip his.
