Wow, the fanart's great. Wish I could draw that good ^^

Yeah, he'd probably be in a tux.

I got this information from textbooks, books, documentaries, tests (not school tests, government run tests)my Pyschology teachers, University proffessors, attending my classes and my mom. Also, it does depend on where you live, but this is general information that applies most NA/ and quite a bit of Europe, there's so many places that I could mention but never mention all of them without taking a lot of time. Maybe I should have been more specific? I guess you could also say 'that's how people want to treat people' but that's pretty much what I said/meant (I know, my words don't come out right sometimes *hangs head*).
Ah. The way you quoted it made me think ether someone else posted it here and I missed it, or someone posted it somewhere else or something. But still, I don't know many people who hold back what they want to say about someone or how they feel about someone(and I've lived all over the US. Never lived in one place longer than 3 years) The people who do hold back, also hold back when they say they don't like a character cause they're scared they'll offend someone(or if they do, they add many times 'I don't hate him/her, this is just how I feel, he's/she's just not my thing' ext. and hey, don't feel bad! I actually have a disability that causes me to do the same thing TT~TT Stuff always comes out wrong and I almost never make sense ;~; And then everyone gets mad at me and yells at me╥︵╥
Spoiled for off topicness DX
Spoiler:
Yeah, I figured something like that for the US. Any information I got on America was based on American studies or textbooks. But I definitely trust someone who's lived in America more then the textbooks, thanks for sharing.

But I can definitely vouch for Canada. Weird, pretty much everyone I know holds back, even to the point it's kind of frustrating. This is kind of random but I've gone to America a coule of times and would say 'hi' to random people I passed on the streets and they gave me the dirtiest looks. In Canada it's not even polite to just say hi to random people, we just do it. The levels of morality/"politeness" between country to country is really fascinating.

I have gotten in so much trouble for the stuff I accidently said before. One time I got suspended from school for a week and I didn't know why until I went over what I said. I felt like such an idiotic jerk after that. I feel your pain D':
We need more Celka fanart. I'm betting Celka's CG is going to be him holding out a serving plate or something along those lines... or a towel on his arm (generic butler pose FTW). So have we seen everyone's CG's and wedding outfits except for Celka's? AW man, keep your head up Celka :'D!

asjfhas;dkvhasd;ki. They're all so beautiful X'D

pixiv always seem to be the hotspot for many to post fanarts. I'm curious, just what eye color does Celka have? There are two fanarts indicating purple, while other two are blue, and I thought it was supposed to be brown? It's hard to tell since we don't even have a Celka portrait to go from.

Maybe it's just me, but... Not just Celka's wedding and CG, we also don't have the game's portrait sitting around somewhere? The magazine pics doesn't count. o.O;

yenquest wrote:Celka's probably not in a lot of arts probably because he's kinda hard to draw. Braids aren't something you normally see in a lot of character creations, let alone a guy at that. His age is probably another factor since many people tends to draw those who are of younger age range (teen to early twenties), or people in their middle age. He seems to be in late twenties.

Personality wise, I'm sure people of Japan prefer those who are of more rebellious nature, and so are people in the US when it comes to fictional characters. I mean, why do popular series always have a problem student be the hero of the story? Why does the rival always turns out to be a misunderstood person with some horrible past? Etc. It's something that many people can relate to, that's why. It is natural for a teen to feel they are not being seen as to who they are, so they have a closer bond to these sort of characters. I'm sure many would agree that there's more bad apples out there irl than there is with good apples. For those who are generally good, I'm can understand why they'd be attracted to kind characters. Genuinely kind folks are few and far in-between these days.
Spoiler:
Gotta jump in with this whole debate about fictional characters (I'm pretty neutral). Calling people certain labels for having differing opinions might have been the wrong way to go about it since labels have various meanings to them at this time and age (you know, how people likes to make slangs for things). You could say that making an opinion on a character out in the open, especially with little to no information is rather jumping-the-gun and insensitive. But you have to realize that it's natural for people to judge others by their appearance and status (no matter whether they want to admit it or not). I'm not saying that it's something we should just let slide, but please not belittle one another while trying to make a stand. The better option is to teach or remind them that there's more to a book than its cover.
True, bit it's not hard to draw him from the other side, and if it's his age, when why is Sengoku in them? It's EVERYONE but Celka. Now, some just have 2 and the girl MC so that's obviously the artist's favs which is fine, but I've seen at least 4 that are just the boys and Celka is the only one missing.

The reason for that is cause of the audience they're tying to appeal to. Notice in anime the main character usually sits in the 2nd to last row at the window. That's cause the kids the show is going for usually sit there in their school. You also shouldn't say 'always'. That's generalizing a bit too much.
and not only are they few and far between, but they don't last long.
Spoiler:
I never belittled anyone. I never actually CALLED anyone a bully. I only said they were acting like it or that it reminded me of what bullies do. Please, don't put words in my mouth. I've already stuck my foot in there, so there's not enough room for anymore words >~>
Mila wrote:@Taniyama Mai
I don't think it's that people necessarily dislike Celka, I think it's more like there's only two save slots in the game, so they're trying to be critical and objective and narrow down their choices. For example, I love him! His temperament and personality, from what I have seen so far, really appeal to me, and if this were real life, I'd most definitely choose him as a boyfriend over all the other bachelors, 100%. That being said, I'm probably not going to pursue him in the game, because his personality isn't very interesting to me, because it's very similar to the other bachelors in the previous games that I've married. Some of the other bachelors bring new and interesting twists, such as Allen, who kind of treats you like dirt but then proclaims his undying devotion to you, and Yuri, who starts off incredibly shy but then does all these little things to show that she truly loves you. I think people are just having a hard time deciding who to go for, and who would be most interesting and able to keep their attention long enough to get married, have a child, etc. etc. I agree with you that the whole 'submissive' thing makes no sense, because how can that be assumed just by looking at him? I personally don't see that at all, because who you are in your job doesn't equate who you are in real life (or in this case, the rest of the game XD). So for that I definitely agree with you that some people are maybe being too rash in their judgments. But in terms of the fan art...I mean, it takes time and energy to draw something, so most people usually save that for the characters they really like. When I was younger, I was really obsessed with sailor moon and I constantly drew the sailor scouts. However, I just didn't like Sailor Mercury or Jupiter very much, so I drew them significantly less. It's not because I hated them or thought they were "weak" characters or anything, they just didn't appeal to me as much. I'm not saying what you're thinking is wrong, in fact, I agree with you to an extent, I just think you're blowing some things a little out of proportion.

Back on topic, if nobody posts the CG of Amir until the US release (unlikely, but..), I'll put it up as soon as I can. I'm planning on going for Amir first, since he's my favourite.
That's fine, though it doesn't explain why it's been so long and Celka's pics aren't out yet. I mean, EVERYONE else's is. I may also be a bit touchy since my irl boyfriend is a lot like Celka and seeing the way people treat him is much like how people are treating Celka and Sengoku. Thank you for actually agreeing with me though. At least I can see I'm not out of my mind.
and for art, if they're going to draw ALL the boys, why skip him? I understand drawing only your favs, or only a few, but Celka is missing a lot. At least HAL has my back with this beautiful piece. http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php? ... d=25600981 (I also didn't say that the artists think he's anything. I didn't say anything about how the artists feel, I just commented that it's sad to see that he is being left out of art and his pics from the game have yet to come up at all. The only in-game pic I've seen is on the official site!) And I don't think I blew it out of proportion, just that I couldn't get through what I meant and everyone blew it out of proportion.

And to keep this shorter I'll just @ people since I apparently type like a snail.

@EphemeralClemency: "but that you didn't explain yourself well enough." Thanks, I have a disorder that does that. Sorry. Nice art though. I see you found HAL's. Isn't she an amazing artist?

Yes, everyone in America is a d*ck. Seriously, it's sad. Canada is different. Canada's stereotype is everyone is nice and loves hocky. That's a lot better than 'everyone's crazy, racist and needs meds and or anger management.-_- I'd love to move to Canada. Everyone is too high strung here and I could *obviously* use the brake.

I did that once. Though it was only for a day. I'm homeschooled now. As you can see, I never got along well with others cause I can never get how I feel across without ether offending people, or looking like a wimp who's scared of getting beat up ;~;
That's what I was thinking. And yea, though Amir's CG is still out.

@yenquest: Purple :) Lovely, lovely purple.

My two cents-
Spoiler:
I live in a trailer park in the south (in the US) and I can honestly say that not everyone is a « Tulip ». People, no matter where you go, know when to keep their mouths shut. I know many people who wouldn't say a bad thing about others if you payed them. Bullying is a big problem right now int the school systems, but school is not everybody nor a good measure of the country as a whole.
But none of this matters here. Not liking/caring about a character is NOT bullying. You cant bully a fictional character. People can draw who they want and leave out those they dislike. Celka has a bunch of fans, but a lot of his thunder is stolen by Amir, who is very popular right now. Celka has the least amount of info about him out, so no one can accurately judge him, maybe not even his fans. Don't expect people to just assume that they like someone before we get the facts. Not all characters can demand all the attention.
I really like the option to chose colors for the tuxedos. I like black on Neil and White on Allen. He kinda reminds me of Aizen from Bleach :shifty:

I know! We need somebody to blame this on D:< I vote Ronald McDonald, that smug « Tulip ». What are you always smiling about you creeper?!

I would have liked to have seen Sengoku and Iroha wearing more eastern style wedding outfits but I guess I can't complain seeing as we have more wedding dress/tux options than ever before.

Wow, those pictures are all very beautiful, but, did you just post the whole of Pixiv XD?

Glad to see I'm not alone :) Oh wait, this is the internet, of course I'm not alone XD ;P
Spoiler:
Really sad, but because I have a rare condition (so rare we have no idea what it is and I've been to doc after doc and specialist after specialist and no one can give me a better answer than 'it's sensory integration disorder/tactile defensiveness, and we need more blood.') that I CAN'T shave, and for some reason I have a lot of very dark hair. Because I can't shave, people treated me like I was a lepper and would scream when I walked in the room, would shove other kids into me to watch them freak out like I was some sort of containment, and things like that. I even had a few kids kick me and say I was too stupid to feel it. I know your pain hun. *hug*
I plan to marry Celka and Yuri, and *maybe* Allen just to make him my Naru but more likely I'll just watch everyone's events on YT(those I don't marry anyway) It's the best way to enjoy a part of the game without all the extra work when you don't even like them that well lol :P

@astro-demon
Spoiler:
I know not *everyone* but a very large amount. And actually, people in poorer areas are nicer, cause they've learned lessons others didn't have to. It's rich people(mostly the kids of rich people) who act like that. a girl I know told someone I'm close to that he needed to be a man and get a job so she didn't have to pay for everything when he took her places cause her parents refuse to let her take their car, but also refuse to take her anywhere themselves. She lives in a HUGE 3 story house while he and his mother live with his grandmother because his mother's EX ran off with all her stuff and almost beat the life out of her. They can't even afford to fix his dae so one of the windows has tape holding it together.
I'm not even getting into the rest of it since you obviously didn't understand what I was trying to say at all.

I'll put all this in spoiler since it's off topic. xD
Spoiler:
Sengoku falls under in the middle age range I mentioned. I noticed a lot of people either draw those who are in teens range (Rod), the young adult range (early 20s, Neil, Amir, and Allen), or people who are from 30+ range (which is our Sengoku). If I was any decent artist, I wouldn't draw Sengoku because he's outside of my comfort zone, and Celka because he seems more difficult to draw than the rest.

The audience tends to be those we have more of. And you're right, "always" shouldn't be used since it's more of a "usually". Teens are more likely to watch anime/cartoon than an adult would, and they are more likely to have a disposable income. You're also right with the thing about good guys not lasting long. A topic where everyone agrees on any single thing tends to end up being boring.

From the way it sounded with your posts, I did read it as belittling in some point. Maybe I've mistaken it for that since it felt like you were calling everyone out. Ah, if only there's a way we could communicate online effectively without misunderstanding each other so much...
Pfft, hell yeah for purple eyes (especially paired up with light hair). :heart:

off-topic? Possibly but not really since it is technically a picture topic, so I think it should be okay.
