Namco's Ambitions...

As most of you should know, the company Namco created Tales of Symphonia FOR Gamecube but it was later realeased on the PS2. Some people where ticked off by this, but I think we are underrating Namco with this.
Most of the Tales I've seen, have been on the Sony consoles and a few have been on the GBA. Now, the Tales series is more popular in Japan than here, right?
So yeah, why would Namco, risk an RPG on the GC which isn't the main RPG console?
Simple. Free Advertisiment. Namco I'm guessing, has been planning this.
You see, Here is what Namco did. They released Tales of Symphonia on the GC, because they knew, that the PS2 version would run slowly and a little more chunkily, and by releasing it on the GC, the people with GC's went mad over the series, taking up message boards, discussing it on Namco's mainsite, and then lots of fanart on it.
So yeah. Word went round America and Japan, people HEARD about ToS. They heard how great it was.
But Namco waited a couple of months, Why? So they wouldn't face the whole force of Nintendo fans. They let them calm down a little after some months, transferred it to the PS2, and BOOM! It gets extraordinary sales.
Why did Namco need this advertisment though? Loading times and other things that got in the way. They added some extras that really didn't do anything to seal the deal though, and the people brought it.
I'm calling this the "Poisin Apple" Strategy. They give a person a poisin, apple, they trust them, and tell everyone how nice they are and get a little in return, but then, when the person eats the apple, BAM! A greater Goal is accomplished than one that could be accomplished before.
So yeah. Fellow people who brought Tos, I know you. HMJ, Sentera, Cassik, Mario, ect. ect. We were used as a marketing gimmick.
How can I back this theory up though?
Namco is like Zelos, for you Tossers, it sides with the strongest.
Proof?
Xenosaga and Baten Kaidos are coming to the DS. We all saw how the DS oversold. They see this as a chance. Xenosaga AND Baten both have quite a high popularity. They know the PSP is a little too flawed for them.
So yeah, we where used. It was so obvious, yet we missed it.
What should we do about it though?
Spread this message. Post it on other forums.
Also, when games by Namco come out on the GC, if you want them, buy them, just don't go mad about them and call them the best game.
On Tales of Symphonia, it's too late, however, let us all try to prevent this in the future.
