Hello all, how do you get vaighns heart level up when he is only there for 2 days a week, and i give him gifts but it doesnt seem to do much, does any one know a way to help, also on the game i am broke, so i cant buy expensive stuff for him

thanks, but i only have 700 money, and My cow is too young to milk and i have no milking machine, the wheat is 1000 itself and i have no money to get the milker either

I usually just gave him milk all the time, and porridge if I had the supplies needed. I gave Vaughn a lot more porridge when I got my rice field and expanded my barn, getting a LOT more cows ^_^

Since I was focusing mainly on my farm first, it really helped me get Vaughn's heart up fast.

He isn't too difficult! Just give him animal products and make him porridge once you unlock the kitchen + utensils.

It could take a while to marry him, though. I think it took most people into Year 3.

If you have Mushroom Island raised, then you can give him some mushroom clusters.

Or if you are really low on money buy pet food from Mirabelle's shop and give it to him. It's not as efficient as porridge/mushrooms but is good for starters.

I gave him pet food all the way and it didn't take long to marry him. It's a great option, trust me.

I always used it when I was in a bind (and by that I mean there was no money and i couldn't buy pet food/ fodder...) but I think it's like...100G

I just gave him pet food until I was able to make porridge for him. You don't lose too much money on making it for him if you are concerned about your finances. I managed to marry him some time in year 2, so just be patient. It doesn't take as long as you may think

Heres what you do:

For now give him chicken or pet food ($10) -or free if you already have chicken food +300 FP because he likes it

when your able to milk your cow give him milk +500 FP because he loves it

tip: idk if your foraging or growing crops but to make money quick buy the quickest growing crop seeeds from chen (check the site, for whatever season your in) and then ship them and ship any sea urchins or chestnuts or flowers you find. if you dont have a kitchen you probably need the colorful little hearts to eat, but i suggest you save one or two of each in your fridge -if you have one- for future recipes.

then once you get more money coming in buy the kitchen from chen (i cant remember how much it was, probably 2 or 3 thousand dollars.) and i believe you need to upgrade your house before you can buy a kitchen, so to lower the cost start collecting lumber (by chopping wood with an axe you can buy at gannons) so you dont have to pay probably 5,000 dollars more from gannon when you upgrade it. anyways once you have the kitchen and you really making some money id try and buy 2 things of rice a week from chen to make vaughns specialty gift which gives you +800 Fp. one thing of rice from chen is $1200 so thats $2,400 a week...and that adds up to 9,600 a month...
so if you cant jump to paying that every month, i still suggest you get the kitchen so you can make it at least every other week or so. were really lucky to have something somewhat easy as Vaughns most favorite gift.

if you want to marry him as absolutely quick as possible you can have charlie make you jewlery that will help raise friendship levels when you wear it. you need to go down to the 25th floor of the mine to get orichalcum to make the jewlery. so thats kinda hard but eventually you can get a 175% increase in fp points if you get all three friendship pendants and equip them when you talk to Vaughn! (because the one with a small efffect is 25% the medium is 50% and the large is 100%) and i swear i read somewhere that if you wear all of them when you talk to someone that you get the effect of all 3 combined! and im pretty sure its true, i wear the small and medium and i really think it helps. im in year one and i can marry will already just from picking up a flower and giving it to him like everyday.

Well i really hope that helped. im sorry if i stated anythings you already know, i just wanted to make sure you got the most help and a clear picture of what to do because in this game if you want to get married i try to do it as quick as possible and then finish playing the game AFTER im marrried, because i played IoH (idk if you've heard of it but its aLOT like this game) and i never got t see my baby because i played the game and did everything i could do before i got married and it takes 2 years for your baby to just get out of its crib! good luck taming that cute cowboy!
