Still looking good. I'll be very excited if it IS Harvest Moon, I didn't expect LoB to come out until at least another year. :)

Oh, I know! Same here. If it is Harvest Moon, I am going to be so happy :lala: Although, i am trying not to get my hopes up, just in case they announce some other game.

Medabots hasn't had a game out is the US since 2003. I'm not sure they would pick up a series that they already let die off. Well, pretty much anyway, although I suppose you never know.

I'm still thinking that it's LoB. I guess, the only thing we know for sure is that it isn't Lufia.

I'm just gonna say it. I think it's both LoB and RF4. Natsume's responses to people's hints such as "Or is it" make it seem like it's not just that.

Of course, realistically, I dont expect RF4 to come out in the west by the end of the year. If anything, they could be pulling some "customization" motif for their E3 booth this year (LoB / RF4).

Last year's E3, people were probably just expecting ToTT which was long overdue because of Japan's delay on the release in 2010 and Natsume wanting to port it to the 3DS. Then ToD was announced, which was sort of surprising, given the content of console RF games.

I know ToD had already released by then, but my point is :: LoB may probably be slated for a late 2012 release. Natsume could just announce that they've aquired the rights to RF4 but haven't started yet, and want it to be released in early 2013.

I'm pretty sure they'd want to kill two birds with one stone, although staying careful financially. That being announcing LoB's localization/upcoming-release and that they've aquired the rights to RF4 but will start translation much later (after the game comes out).

And I know this is a completely different case but RFF was announced in E3, which was 5-6 months before its JP release.

Who knows. /being optomistic

Maybe Natsume wants to be as fast as XSeed then?

I'm not trying to say they want to be as "fast" as XSeed in when they released RFF on the west. RFF's JP release was November 2008, iirc. XSeed had it released at March, a 5 month difference. But XSeed gained the localization rights to it in July's E3 in 2009, a 9 month interval practically and that was 5 months before the JP release.

Announcing a release date =/= announcing localization rights.

What I'm saying is, they're probably not going to be able to release RF4 by the end of the year, but they'll probably be able to announce localization rights to it, while LoB has a bigger release highlight. It could happen, Natsume may be a small company but RF4's out the month after E3, it's not like they're announcing a near release like Vesperia back in 2008 or Atlus with P4 Golden which is out for Fall (while JP release is this summer).

And it's not impossible for Natsume to surprise people with two titles, look at last year's E3 with their booth.

So, in less than 24 hours. Their previous hint was posted hours ago. Guess that was their last one.

The suspense is killing me, haha.

Well, if it is LoB, I wonder how many names they plan on changing this time around. ToTT had almost every name changed, so I wonder if it will be the same with this one. :P

I think it's possible they may have the localization rights for RF4 at least as well. I mean, it's not like there is a huge gap between Japan's release date anyway. It's only about a month or so away.

Yeah, they could possibly just want to get it over with ASAP, rather than waiting for next year's E3.

Of course, announcing localization rights (what could be announced if RF4 is involved) is different from outright saying that they have a release date and that they've started translation, which will most likely be LoB's case.

@Clemency: Well, it's somewhat understandable why they changed the names in ToTT. A lot of them were a bit odd. Honestly, Raspberry?

If it isn't Harvest Moon, I'm going to be really surprised. xD
I mean, the hints make it look a bit obvious and all.

Still, the hints point at either HM and RF. Both games have a theme of customization (LoB's is stronger in that area), but what strikes me is how Natsume mentions "at least 3 titles". That sort of connotation can be seen as "Well, we've released barely above 3 games from this series." HM is their obvious prime product, so making a hint out of that would have been too obvious. Natsume's released 4 rf titles so far.

Although I'm not saying HM can be ruled out. The hints scream HM too, which is why I feel that it'll be two of them in E3. Well, LoB getting a release date and status update on translation while RF4 possibly getting a localization rights announcement.

This. I'll be really suprised if there is another game that fits their hints. XD

That's because that is what happens when you are excitedly waiting for something. XD
