I know : ) I'm a bit of a pessimist XD
I feel sorry for other countries who have to either go without or import the game and translate it.

Waiting suck, allright, but still it would be nice if we had games at the same time as America.
For most of you guys it's easy "Just buy American 3ds and American game, what's the point of waiting" - well, by buying American console/game we most probably "feed" American selling market not European, and because of that we're shooting at our back - American market sold more copies of game X, so game Y will be *again* released first on American market, because it will sell better.
I may sound rude now but I didn't really intended it but even if the games for other countries will be released long after Europe or not released at all, why would *I*, as a consument would be bothered with it? I'm interested in my continent/country.

I still don't see why Rising Star has to change any dialogue at all in the European translation.
In Grand Bazaar Rising Star censored out all references to alcohol, that really confuses me.
All they do every time is change all the gonna's to going to and the wanna's to want to.
It just doesn't make any sense any to me.

Maybe Rising Star believes that the new generation of HM is for little children (who are like 3-8 years old), so they remove all dirty dialogues and stuff.

I was just thinking of that :-) Thanks for pointing it out : D
But it was pretty funny, the wine festival was changed to the fizz festival and all the wine names were either fizz or syrup.

Well I suppose that's a moral issue... But I still feel a little sorry for them.
I like the fact that they change the dialogue a bit, because I personally prefer the "going to"s etc. but I suppose that's just me being anal. I'm happy enough waiting for a little while but hasn't the waiting time been really long before?
@BizaareBazaar: I literally had no idea they changed it to that extent though. Woah.

I know XD it's amazing what length's they went to to change it all.
The waiting time usually is very long for example:
Grand Bazaar came out in Japan late 2008
Grand Bazaar came out in America Summer 2010
Grand Bazaar came out in Europe at the end of September 2011
I like the fact that they change the dialogue a bit, because I personally prefer the "going to"s etc. but I suppose that's just me being anal.
I agree with this but it doesn't really matter to me if it meant the game would come out much faster.

Island of Happiness
US: August 2008
Europe: December 2008
Sunshine Islands
US: November 2009
Europe: November... 2010
Tale of Two Towns
US: September (DS version) and November (3DS version) 2011
Europe: June 2012
Yes, RS is pretty slow...

The Island of Happiness release date wasn't bad but the other two... D:
I've been alright till now, because the normal ds wasn't region locked and I could easily import the american games. But having to buy another system just for one series of games would be a bit of a waste of money in my opinion and Nintendo will probably decide in the future to make more consoles region locked so I won't import the system.
It's just a shame since when Europe gets ANB all the hype probably will have died down and everyone will be anticipating the next game.
Sorry about my ranting XD

And as I said, if we want to "raise in ranks" in Nintendo's eyes we should stick buying European consoles/games, as when we buy American ones we feed their market sales, we make it easier for their players to get games not for us - sad but [probably] true.
And, before someone will accuse me of not knowing anything - I'm aware that games for Europe are harder for translating, since you need few different teams to translate it for different countries languages [I guess UK english, German, Spanish, Russian, French?] and you have to coordinate them, so different countries will get translations with the same meanings.

Your right, it's best to just stick it out and wait so we can make the european sales rise.

Surely just translating from the American version to the European English it shouldn't take so long, why does it take so long to release it in the UK? I understand for German, Italian and French but...
Well, right now I'm just complaining.
Still wondering about the controls though, I'd prefer if they were like HMDS rather than IoH

I know with games that involve voice acting they would re-do that, and probably re-write some things, but would all that much really change with a game like Harvest Moon?
And for sure, hopefully soon Harvest Moon will get faster releases in Europe~
Nurse Fin had posted the buttons and everything in some topic recently
I thought it was this one but I guess not… I know I saw it, hold on I'll look for it

Don't worry, I've got the information on the controls now. Thanks for the concern though.
I am really hoping for a quick release, it seems they're historically known for being late in Europe so I hope this can be an exception.
