I am really hoping for a quick release, it seems they're historically known for being late in Europe so I hope this can be an exception.
Well they will probably want to hurry, since it had such a big reception in Japan, then it will probably have a big reception in America, so they will want to get it out quick while the buzz is still going around, but my guess is that Rising Star, that's who makes it for you right?, anyway they probably have it already and are working on translating it into all the European languages, there are a lot so that takes time, anywoo, you will probably get it a little while after us, like next year probably?! And also I am so sorry about the whole wine to fizz thing, but they are kinda the same thing, syrup too, though I agree that is annoying!

@Diamond:
Thats good :D

Yeah, there really should be faster release dates… :/
At least with the DS games there was no region lock but now with the 3DS you can't import without also buying a NA 3DS D:

Hopefully they'll break that streak soon!
Natsume also seems to be improving lately, maybe Rising Star isn't far behind! (they do the releases in Europe, right?)

I'm pretty sure they wold want to keep the games around E so they can still sell to kids.
It's their most popular series, after all.

As for Marvelous I can't really think what other games they have at the moment.
(If they make a Harvest Moon T rated would Natsume try and change it by taking out features…? I think they would but I doubt there would be a T rated HM game in the first place…)

Well I'm personally glad they kept the cross-dressing. It shows that having your personal gender identity is becoming such an accepted thing, I know what I mean, I'm just not getting it across right. The best thing is you don't have to even see it like that if you don't want, it's just choice in clothes. A sort of nod to the fact that not all girls run around in short skirts or dresses.

Good to see that games are keeping up to date with the world.

I don't thing Harvest Moon will ever be anything but E rated, it would be a bad business move methinks. I work with quite a few little kids who really enjoy the game so making it T rated or higher would see a massive loss in their market.

Yup. :l

Yeah and Harvest Moon is Natsume's most well-known series. I think they'd have trouble staying in business if they lost part of the market by losing younger HM fans.
But of course the rating is up to Marvelous, how they decide to make the game. But for sure Natsume will try their best to keep them E rated if they are ever not.

You're right. They would lose a huge portion of their income, out of parents buying one of the few quality games allowed for their kids or out of kids getting lost in the hype. I saw the ad on TV for HMDS when I was younger and pestered my Mum for AGES, if it was any higher than E, they would completely loose that audience.
But it's so nice to have features in games that appeal to every demographic.

Hopefully, they'll have same « Chicken Hugging » marriages

I think it was in...More Friends From Mineral Town? The japanese version had a "best friend" system that allowed you to "live together" with another female (one of the bachelorettes) and you couldn't get married afterwards. They removed it in the english veriosn, though :roll:

That would be interesting xD;
I don't know if I'd want to play a T rated Harvest Moon though, not sure what would be put in to make it T rated… I like them the way they are xD (Couldn't be anything too bad though, T isn't that high of a rating. Now an M rated HM is what I'd be afraid of.)
But if it was just cursing (Like the Jap dialogue for ANB) then that'd be fine xD

well for the last couple of years, i have been saying that ninty (as in nintendo and all their affilates ect that make the games for portable nintendo products)
should stop bothering making a european version. they did it with pokemon (as seen by the multiple language versions of pokemon black/white ect lol) so why the frell dont they do it with stuff they KNOW is popular...?

all they realy need to do is a quick(ish) spellcheck and make sure certain words that mean different things (ie bumbag versus its american counterpart..whos first part of the name is a slang word in the uk for womens parts) are double checked and they would be fine.
then release the english language edition at the same time as the NA one.
after that, they could release the european non english edition once it was done (french, german, italian ect but no enlgish in it)
not only would the impatient euro's buy the english version becasue most of them take english as seccond language, they would still sell loads afterwards when the euro language one came out becasue of those who wont/cant read english.

as for the swapping all alcohol references...we had the same problem in warcraft.
they have a festival called Brewfest. its a warcraft equivelent to Oktobrefest....pretzels and chees and sausages and lots of beer!
and there was one quest, about catching a Pink elek (elephant style mount) and another one about capturing a Wolpertinger (its a rabbit with antlers lol)....for both quests, we had to drink the free brewfest samples till the screen went fuzzy (about 2-3 beers i think it was) and the pink eleks and wolpertingers would become visible. it was there the first year, but the seccond they took all the quests that required you to get drunk, out of the game.
reason?
apparently one of the EU countries 'complained' about the alcohol quests. now we spent quite a bit of time trying to work it out, but we never did come to a conclusion.
course the thing is that, in the game, if you drank too much, your screen went so totaly blurry everything was nearly unplayable, you could not even WALK in a line let alone run in one, and your character would throw up...a lot..XD
personaly, i would have thought that with side effects like that, making kids drink in game to show them all the bad things alcohol does to you would have been a teaching aid XD
so i expect *someone* in the same country did it again..'wont you think of the children?!' yeah, your kids that you probably let play CoD and GTA at 8-10 casue they whined for it XD
