I don't get why people are having a problem with the graphics. Everything I seen so far about the game is good. I can even live with the giant vegetables but the only thing that erks me is the new dog. It's not even the dog as a whole it's just those eyes. It reminds me of that episode of the Simpson where Homer and Mel Gibson make a movie together and at the end of the movie there's a dog for no real reason with shifty eyes. The new dog's eyes remind me of that. Is the dog thinking about killing you in your sleep or leaving a "surprise" in your rucksack?

I read somewhere that the dog will get fat and sick if you don't take care of it properly as shown in the picture you posted.

Edit: I can't seem to locate the thread where they talked about pets and such...So feel free to correct me of I'm wrong.

Oh, very interesting then. We will have to take care about our pets more Too bad there is no vet, where we could inoculate and heal our pets. That would be nice. We have had a lot of doctors, but never had a veterinarian.

To be honest, the graphics were a disappointment for me too. I like more realistic graphics, and lately Harvest Moon has been going in the opposite direction (even the gameplay, I find, is becoming more simplified and over-explained). On the other hand, it won't stop me from buying the game if it's good otherwise. It does bother me, but not enough to ruin the game or anything.

And dear lord, I hadn't even seen the dog yet. It's massive! I miss the "original" floppy-eared Harvest Moon dog already.

Aha, a bit different but cute.

And I know it's never been "realistic", exactly, but I mean more of the AWL style graphics where things are a little more proportioned and detailed. Again, the game looks great gameplay-wise, I'm just saying.

Yeah, pets can get fat and sick if you don't care for them or keep them active. I remember that topic and thought it was a neat thing that they added that just makes it seem more 'real' since that can happen irl if you overfeed or don't exercise your pets.

Anyways, I don't mind the graphics, the only problem I have is the big crops because, that's just stupid. Crops will never be bigger than you unless there is some weird radiation or something.

I HATED the DS graphics. They were so ugly and you couldn't even see what was what. It just looked like a blend of colors together making ugly sprites.

Why are you so « Snuggly Bunny » rude? This is a forum for everyone and every person can say what they think. Some people don't like the graphic. Deal with it. Oh and btw, I didn't say I hated it. I only said that some aspects of it were bad. Jezz...

Now, Slowpoke, I agree with Ariel. I think you're being a little rude when replying. This forum is meant for people to have fun, get information, and give their opinions. I don't really appreciate how you've been replying, and by the looks of it, neither do others. We'd appreciate it if you put a little more thought and consideration into your posts.

Personally, I don't mind the graphics. As I said, games on brand new consoles always tend to be a little awkward.
