Raising Islands

I got 12 sunstones in 2 weeks by giving people five 300 pt. gifts, and I am ready to raise an island! Twelve is enough for any of the islands, but which one should I raise first? I really can't decide. I do know this is my decision, but I just need help deciding. I would really like an island that will help me earn huge wads o' cash. I'm so poor, its not even funny. So which island should I raise? U haven't raised any yet, so allow them are available.

You might want to raise Volcano Island first.
A great deal of money will come your way from mining. You do have to increase your mining degree by activities in the mine so you can find stairs to progress to the lower floors.
As you progress deeper in the mine the gems are higher in rank. You also have black herb which you can dig up with your hoe and gelatin which you collect by watering the lava bubbles.
Animal Island is another possibility. You must feed the animals to raise their friendship level so they will bring items they find back to you. Some of these are good for gifts others are valuable (Mice bring ore, monkeys bring building supplies and branches/stones to reduce building costs by giving Gannon the materials)
Just don't make the mistake of raising Link Island first. This island will Link your ranch to Rice Island, Fruit Island, and Greenhouse Island.
You will need to have a bridge built to get to Link Island, then if you have enought sunstones to raise one of the Islands accessed by Link Island, you have to build a bridge to that island before you can use it.
Mushroom Island will provide the only spot you can obtain mushrooms.
Mystic Island is necessary for you to get married.

Well, Link Island sounds sucky, and I'm not really planning on marrying until I upgrade everything, so Mystic Island is out of the question for now... Animal, Volcano, or Mushroom? I think I might need to wait a while before raising an island,, or ateast until I can find out more about them. Thank you so much, Veggie Angel! We are officially forum friends now.

yeah she said is correct! i agreed what she says..... Yes. Volcano island is a must. If you raise that, you can get loads of money. It's an EXCELLENT starting island.
Next, I would advise you to get Animal island. It's great for finding gifts, and if you can find gifts with the animals' help, you can increase the inhsbitant's FP.
Useful.
But yes, NEVER, EVER raise the Link island first. A complete waste of time....
